NFL Fans Roast Arizona Cardinals After Viral Video Shows Inept Offense – “Caleb Williams’ New Team”

After a viral video of ineptitude surfaced from Arizona Cardinals training camp, fans began turning their attention to the top of the 2024 NFL Draft.

NFL fans have joined together to collectively roast the Arizona Cardinals after a video of truly terrible play surfaced on Twitter … I mean X.

    Arizona Cardinals Offense Is Lacking

Quarterback Colt McCoy launched a football into the back of cornerback Marco Wilson’s head, who immediately ducked for cover.

McCoy must have mistaken where he was and thought he was in the Jets-Browns preseason game, where another player was pelted with a football to the noggin.

Didn’t you know you’re supposed to have eyes on the back of your head? Well-seasoned WRs often can compensate for incompetent throws, but that’s a hard ask.

    NFL Fans Roast the Cardinals

Fans have rallied on social media to drag the Cards for a throw that not even the preseason could love.

Fans responded to the video with tweets like these:

Other fans come to the rescue of McCoy, pointing out that one bad play does not define a player. The veteran quarterback also had some incredible throws. Although fans don’t find that particularly reassuring.

    Fans Warned the Arizona Cardinals

Cardinals fans have been calling the team out since the 2023 NFL Draft. Many fans are attributing a lack of success to poor choices by the people at the top. A ball to the head feels like the final icing on the cake.

    When will NFL Franchises learn?

How Did the Arizona Cardinals Get Here?

Kyler Murray tore his ACL on December 12 on the third play of the night when he planted his leg wrong. Not only did the Cardinals lose to the Patriots 27-13 in that game, but they also lost their starting QB.

Murray took the rest of the season off and is expected to miss games in 2023 too. When asked when he was going to return during training camp, Murray said, “Every athlete who’s dealt with an injury like this … an athlete knows when they know.”

It’s not a set answer; Cardinals fans do not have a confirmed timetable for Murray’s return to the gridiron. Later may be better, even if it doesn’t feel like it.

Rushing players back can make them more vulnerable to future injuries. Long-term, we definitely want Murray to come back when he knows it’s right.

That being said, it definitely doesn’t make it any easier to watch the backup quarterbacks perform like this. Throw us something better, McCoy!

Rumor has it the team is allegedly struggling without their fearless leader.

    Other Training Camp Shenanigans

Dak Prescott is also on the active “roaster” list with this throw:

Kyle Trask is giving Baker Mayfield a disconcerting run for his money for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ starting QB spot with this throw to Russell Gage:

Alvin Kamara is on the hot seat for his Las Vegas assault incidents, receiving a three-game suspension to start the season.

And Jamarco Jones gets the boot for starting too many training camp skirmishes. The OL should be reminded that only Travis Kelce can get away with multiple fights in camp with no repercussions.
