Aaron Rodgers has had a disappointing season with the New York Jets. The team is 3-10, and ownership has already fired the head coach and general manager.
Despite the team’s struggles, Rodgers is constantly in the news. His weekly appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” always generates headlines, and in a recent segment, he took a shot at ESPN analysts.
Aaron Rodgers Gets Trolled by Fans for Latest Comments
Rodgers’ former teammate, A.J. Hawk, asked the four-time NFL MVP how the league has changed since he entered the league in 2005. The Jets’ star mentioned that although the football IQ has dropped around the league, the skill set of players is much better than before. He also mentioned his dissatisfaction with the media that is currently covering the league.
“There’s a lot of people talking about the game now,” Rodgers said per Awful Announcing. “Both non-former players and former players who are trying to stay relevant fame-wise. So the takes and the criticism are a lot different than they were maybe in the mid-2000s.”
The 40-year-old quarterback added, “I’m talking about these experts on TV who nobody remembers what they did in their career. So in order for them to stay relevant, they have to make comments that keep them in the conversation. That wasn’t going on in 2008, 2009…”
Rodgers further discussed how people on talk shows believe that they are celebrities despite many of their views being “unfounded or asinine.”
Fans liked the message but not the messenger, as the future Hall of Famer has himself said various things that have caused an uproar. Here’s how they reacted to the latest comments from Rodgers:

During the same appearance on McAfee’s show, Rodgers also talked about doing practices to invite aliens, which also sparked reactions from many. Since the Jets’ season is already over, expect him to say some more things in the coming weeks that will likely go viral.
