‘What a Circus’ – NFL Fans Harshly Reject Michael Irvin’s Bold Claims About Deion Sanders-Cowboys Union

    Published on

Fans make fun of Michael Irvin's prediction of the Dallas Cowboys drafting Shedeur Sanders to lure Deion Sanders there.

On more than one occasion, Deion Sanders has said he’s not leaving the Colorado Buffaloes following this season, despite his two sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, entering the 2025 NFL Draft.

However, many believe that since Deion has no major reason to stay in a less prolific program, he might decide to coach a rather prestigious college football program or take up a coaching job in the NFL. If the latter is the case, the team that comes to everyone’s mind is the Dallas Cowboys, who are struggling this season under current head coach Mike McCarthy.

Fans React to Michael Irvin’s ‘100%’ Deion Sanders Joining Cowboys Comment

During a recent appearance on Speak, Colin Cowherd asked if the Cowboys drafted Shedeur Sanders, would Deion leave Colorado and join the Jerry Jones team? To it, Michael Irvin replied:

“100%. And I can tell you, good sources have told me that. Great sources have told me that.”

Fans, however, took hilarious digs at Irvin’s reaction to the possibility of Deion Sanders leaving Colorado to follow his son to the NFL.

“So the Cowboys are going to hire Deion, who I believe said he didn’t want to coach in the NFL, and then draft Sanders. So I guess he’s going to sit for 2 years behind Prescott? Okay,” one fan commented.

“They just made Dak the highest paid player. Why is this a conversation?” one fan said.

“What a circus that would be. Deion and Jerry are fighting for the spot light and control. That would be an absolute disaster,” another added.

“They won’t. Conversation over,” another added.

“On what planet does anyone even imagine Neon Deion would make a good NFL coach?” Another had doubts on Coach Prime.

    Irvin’s Prediction Makes No Sense

The only bit to what Irvin said that makes sense is Deion Sanders potentially joining the Cowboys. What doesn’t, however, is that Dallas will draft Shedeur in 2025.

The Cowboys have already signed Dak Prescott to a four-year, $240 million contract. He will easily be Dallas’ starting quarterback for at least the next two or three years.

Thus, the only possibility out of this is for the Cowboys to trade up, draft Shedeur, and keep him as the backup to Prescott. Yet, there’s no point in seeing your first-round pick rest on the sidelines for that long.

Furthermore, neither Shedeur nor Deion would like this idea, considering fellow quarterbacks like Quinn Ewers and Cam Ward will likely have made their NFL debuts much further ahead.

So, it doesn’t make sense for the Cowboys to use their highest pick to draft a quarterback instead of a premium position player. However, in order to potentially lure Coach Prime out of Boulder, Dallas could draft Travis Hunter instead.
