The Dolphins started the game with a quick score, scoring on their third offensive snap of the game when Tua Tagovailoa passed to Tyreek Hill for a 78-yard touchdown.

In response to the touchdown, the Dolphins players rode the roller coaster in a team celebration. “They crazy, I love it,” said one NFL fan on X (formerly known as Twitter).

The Dolphins have been known for having fun, creative touchdown celebrations all year. Many of their celebrations pay homage to a famous movie scene or a dance move. Some of their different celebrations this season include taking it to the stands, surf’s up, dancing, “Remember the Titans,” “Stomp the Yard,” bowling, and the penguin dance.

Earlier this season, Hill even took a photographer’s phone, recording himself doing a flip after scoring on a deep touchdown.

The Dolphins scored three more on the next drive thanks to a 49-yard field goal from Jason Sanders. The next defensive drive, linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel intercepted Sam Howell on the first play of the drive and took it all the way for a touchdown.

The Commanders got on the board with a Sam Howell rushing touchdown at the beginning of the second quarter, bringing it within 10. The Dolphins responded, though, with another Hill deep ball, with Tagovailoa launching it to him for a 60-yard touchdown.

The Dolphins continued their dominance, scoring once again before the half. Raheem Mostert rushed for a one-yard touchdown, giving the Dolphins a 31-7 lead at halftime.

“Super Bowl contenders,” said another NFL fan. The Dolphins sit at 8-3 on the season and would advance to 9-3 with a win. They currently hold a 2.5-game lead in the AFC East, with the Buffalo Bills at 6-6 for the season.
