Travis Hunter, who is considered one of the top prospects for the 2025 NFL Draft, decided to kick back and relax this month with the NFL Scouting Combine still a few weeks away. He was at the Dallas Mavericks’ home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Jan. 22, sitting courtside in comfortable pajamas, no less.
NFL Fans React to Travis Hunter-Anthony Edwards Meeting
The Timberwolves pulled off a close win, 115-114, and after the game, Timberwolves star guard Anthony Edwards met up with Hunter, who was visibly excited to meet the Minnesota shooting guard. Edwards gave him two gifts: his game-worn AE1 shoes, which are his own Adidas line, and his No. 5 jersey.

Meanwhile, Hunter’s fashion choice tickled fans’ bones, as one said underneath the X clip: “Bro wearing PJs to an NBA game lol”
Even before knowing where he will end up in the NFL, Hunter signed a deal with Adidas on Dec. 12, 2024.
“Addidas hit the jackpot!!” a fan said.
Meanwhile, Edwards has been with them since 2020, his draft year, and his first shoe — the AE1 — became a big hit in 2023 after its release.
“@adidas really got 2 of the most charismatic athletes of this generation,” another fan echoed.

Edwards is a native of Atlanta. Hunter, who was born in West Palm Beach, Fla., moved to Georgia when he was in high school. In light of this, a fan said:

Another fan regarded Hunter highly, as he was ecstatic after receiving the gifts.
“The fact that everything mashed him smile like this shows you his heart & humility. God is going to do great things thru him,” a fan noted.
According to Pro Football Network’s latest 2025 NFL mock draft by Derek Tate, Hunter is projected to be selected as the No. 2 overall player in the 2025 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns, who are facing troubles at their quarterback position. If the team decides to stick with their injury-riddled QB, Deshaun Watson, they might choose Hunter.
According to the analysis, the Browns run a lot of man coverage, which is right up Hunter’s alley. He could be a cornerstone player for the team and could get his wish to play both offense and defense, all the while helping the team as a playmaker alongside Jerry Jeudy.
