Fans in Tampa React to Duck on the Field Before Bucs Touchdown

Irving, who went to the University of Oregon, was highly sought after by another duck who roamed onto the field to watch Irving up close. Irving never got to touch the ball as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers blocked it and returned it for a touchdown.

When it rains in Florida, the ducks come out. A lone duck wobbled around on the field waiting for Irving to return a punt. He was showing his admiration, from one duck to another.

The duck must have been delighted as it saw Irving rush for over 100 yards and grab four receptions in the first half. Irving did everything except score a touchdown.

Irving led a Buccaneers offense that rolled up more than 500 yards against the Panthers. Baker Mayfield had a great day at the office going 27-for-32 for 359 yards and five touchdowns. Mayfield did not throw an interception in the 48-14 win.

Mike Evans had eight catches for 97 yards and two touchdowns on nine targets. Evans had a long reception of 34 yards, which equaled the longest run by Irving on the day.

Irving attended the University of Minnesota before transferring to Oregon. It’s a good thing it was a duck and not a Golden Gopher. The gopher would have been more difficult and more dangerous to catch.

After the blocked punt for the touchdown, a member of the Tampa Bay field crew went out and retrieved the duck to take it out of harm’s way.

The duck was hanging around waiting to get Irving’s autograph and a pair of his shoes.
