‘Dont Want Him,’ ‘Would Be Perfect’ — NFL Fans Left Debating Over Shedeur Sanders Possibly Joining the New York Giants

    Published on

New York Giants fans are in splits on whether drafting Shedeur Sanders first overall would be the right move for the franchise.

Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders is nearing the end of his college football career, having played his last game at Folsom Field in Week 14, a 52-0 shutout victory against the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

According to Deion Sanders, he will be available for Colorado’s upcoming bowl game, but more or less, NFL teams have already gotten a good glimpse of the quarterback, who could potentially be picked inside the top five.

Fans Debate on Whether Shedeur Sanders Is a Worthy Pick for Giants

One team that may draft Sanders next year is the New York Giants, who recently released their franchise quarterback, Daniel Jones, amid another disappointing season (2-10 through 13 weeks). The Giants currently hold the first overall pick following their seventh consecutive loss, their last coming in their Thanksgiving Day game against the Dallas Cowboys.

According to Bovada, the Giants executives have set their sights on Sanders, making him a strong favorite to be picked first overall next year.

This didn’t go down well with some fans who think the Giants drafting Sanders would be a mistake.

“We don’t want him,” one fan wrote.

“That would be a huge mistake. Shedeur Sanders is the most sacked QB in college football the past two seasons and the Giants are the most sacked NFL team over the past two seasons,” one fan commented.

“Passing on [Cam Ward] for sanders would be a typical giants move,” another wrote.

“He goes to either NY team; you’re looking at the next Geno Smith Career Arc,” one fan posted.

However, some fans expressed positive thoughts about the Giants drafting Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft.

“He would be perfect in New York,” one fan said.

“No way the Giants pass on him,” another added.
