‘He’s Gonna Get Drug Tested for This’ — Eagles Fans Lose Their Minds Over Saquon Barkley’s Unbelievable Play vs. Jaguars

    Published on

The Philadelphia Eagles' fans were mesmerized after seeing Saquon Barkley make a stunning play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 9.

Saquon Barkley and the Philadelphia Eagles played against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 9. The Eagles’ running back made a stunning play in the second quarter of the game, and it will be remembered for years to come.

Barkley first spun around the defender while carrying the ball and then did a backward hurdle. This was probably the first time such a thing was done on the football field, and all the fans on social media were stunned by it.

Fans Were Amazed by Saquon Barkley’s Stunning Play

When a player makes such kind of a play in an NFL game, he is usually drug-tested the following week. Similarly, one fan also said that the NFL will test Barkley for his exceptional display of skill against the Jaguars:

“One of the craziest runs I’ve ever seen,” said one fan.

“Looks like a video game character out there,” added another fan.

“YOU CANT EVEN DO THIS IN MADDEN,” said another fan in compliment of Barkley.

Barkley signed a three-year, $37.75 million contract with the Eagles this offseason. The New York Giants have been salty about his move to the Eagles, but the star running back has not looked back and is having immense success in Philadelphia.

Heading into Week 9, Barkley rushed for 766 yards and five touchdowns on 130 carries in seven games this season. He is averaging a career-best 5.9 yards per carry and is enjoying playing behind a proper offensive line, which he never got during his time in New York.

Barkley has been a big reason behind the Eagles’ success this season, whereas the Giants have been one of the worst teams in the NFL since his departure.

Eagles Are on Track to Earn 4th Straight Win

The Eagles started the season 2-2 but have gone 3-0 since their bye week. At the time of writing, they lead the Jaguars 16-0 at the half and are on their way to their fourth straight win. Barkley has already scored two touchdowns in this game.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was under pressure after a shaky start to the season, but this winning streak has likely saved his job, at least for this season.

Despite their recent success, the Eagles are not at the top of the NFC East. With their Week 9 win over the Giants, the Washington Commanders are now 7-2 on the season and will pose a serious challenge to Philadelphia in the race to win the division.

The Eagles and the Commanders will face each other in Week 11 and Week 16. These two games will be the real test for Washington, as they have had a significantly easier schedule so far than the Eagles. Hopefully, the fans will be treated to competitive games between two good teams.
