Deion Sanders is one of the biggest names in the college football and NFL world. He is known for his legendary NFL career but has since transitioned into a successful college football career as a coach. Since joining the Colorado Buffaloes two seasons ago, he has turned a program that was once viewed as one of the worst in the country into a popular destination for recruits.
This season, he led the team to its most successful season in years, nearly qualifying for the Big 12 Championship Game and subsequently the College Football Playoff. As a result, several members of the media have said that NFL teams are interested in hiring. Lately, the Las Vegas Raiders have been a popular rumored landing spot.
NFL Fans React to Possibility of Deion Sanders Joining the Las Vegas Raiders
The NFL regular season ended last weekend, and shortly after, the Raiders fired head coach Antonio Pierce after just one season. As a result, former NFL player Matt Leinart posted that he could join the Raiders. Fans had some interesting reactions to this take from Leinart.
“Would be hilarious,” one fan wrote.

“Curious… how many times does Deion Sanders need to say he is not going anywhere right now in order for you all to believe him?” one fan added.

“I heard rumors about that a few weeks ago, and with them then picking his son to be the next QB, but figured it was just that, a rumor. That would be crazy if it goes down like that!” one fan commented.
“He has said every way possible he doesn’t want to coach in the nfl the part he like about coaching is mentoring and being a second dad to his kids he can’t do that in the nfl if he leaves CU it would be another collage job,” one fan added.

As several fans stated in the comments, Sanders has said on several occasions that he is not interested in leaving Colorado. While Shedeur Sanders, Shilo Sanders, and Travis Hunter are set to enter the 2025 NFL Draft, Deion has said he is happy staying in Colorado. Whether that is true behind closed doors is unclear, but that is what he has said publicly.
