Patrick Mahomes Slammed for ‘Flopping’ in Divisional Round, Fans React

Mahomes’ attempt to sell a call in the divisional round had fans slamming him with the not-so-flattering title of “King of Flopping.”

“King of flopping lmao,” one user tweeted, poking fun at the Chiefs QB’s over-the-top antics to draw a penalty.

“Gotta be extremely frustrating for defensive players. Can’t even touch a QB anymore,” another fan vented, reflecting the growing frustration with the protection QBs receive.

Meanwhile, some fans thought the play was more legit, noting, “Literally got pushed as he was stepping out of bounds.”

But the rest weren’t having it. “This is some soccer tomfoolery,” said another user, likening Mahomes’ attempt to the dramatic dives seen in soccer matches.

The uproar didn’t stop there. “NFL refs should be under investigation,” one posted, echoing the frustration over what was seen as a questionable non-call.

And the comparisons to the world of soccer? “Mahomes is becoming Neymar,” one fan joked, implying the 29-year-old’s antics were more suited for the football pitch than the football gridiron.

While Mahomes’ dazzling performances often steal the limelight, this time it’s his acting skills that have fans divided.

And speaking of family drama, Mahomes’ brother’s TikTok antics are adding more fuel to the fire.

Jackson Mahomes: TikTok Fame, Controversy, and Constant Criticism

Jackson Mahomes has turned heads for all the wrong reasons. With over 1.1 million followers, his online presence is as controversial as it is popular. Known for his game-day antics and viral dance trends, Jackson has also found himself in hot water more than once.

In 2021, he sparked outrage when he danced on the memorial of Sean Taylor during a Chiefs game. The backlash was swift, forcing Jackson to apologize: “I want to sincerely apologize for accidentally being on the Sean Taylor #21 at FedEx Field. We were directed to stand in that area, and I meant absolutely no disrespect to him or his family.”

Despite the apology, Jackson’s actions continue to polarize fans. His TikTok bio reads, “Sup I get bullied a lot but I’m still here,” acknowledging the constant criticism he faces.

Jackson is no stranger to leveraging his brother Mahomes’ fame, admitting in his YouTube debut, “Do I use him for clout? No … I mean … I don’t necessarily use him for clout but there are a lot of advantages and I get a lot of opportunities by being his brother, so that’s pretty cool.”

Though Jackson enjoys massive online attention (247k followers on Instagram, 35k on X, formerly known as Twitter), it’s clear that his fame comes with mixed opinions. While some find his antics entertaining, others argue that it comes at the expense of respect and propriety.
