‘[Go] Worry About Winning Some Games’ — NFL Fans Call Out Micah Parsons Over Cowboys LB’s Comments on Mike McCarthy Exit

Micah Parsons sparked debate with his bold comments on Mike McCarthy's exit, but fans want him focused on winning, not stirring the pot.

Micah Parsons might need a GPS because staying in his lane just isn’t happening. The Dallas Cowboys star LB decided to tackle Mike McCarthy’s exit with some spicy commentary, but NFL fans weren’t exactly cheering. Instead, they hit him with a collective “[Go] worry about winning some games.” Ouch.

Turns out, Parsons’ hot takes aren’t lighting up the scoreboard with fans who think Big D’s got way bigger fish to fry, like, say, ending their Super Bowl drought.

Micah Parsons Sounds Off on Mike McCarthy’s Exit

Parsons has tackled plenty on-field, but his latest comments are stirring the pot off of it. After Cowboys head coach McCarthy was dismissed, fans pulled no punches. Parsons, however, stood firm on his podcast, “The Edge with Micah Parsons,” calling the exit devastating.

“It’s devastating,” Parsons stated. “He’s always been good to us. Losing a great coach like Mike hurts. It’s gonna be a very interesting offseason. It’s gonna be a complete reset. I trust that we’re gonna make the right decisions.”

The All-Pro emphasized the team’s focus moving forward. He continued, “As one of the leaders of this team, I’m gonna be looking forward to accepting all challenges and embrace whatever comes to help lead my team to a championship. We gotta move on. We can’t think about the past.”

McCarthy’s tenure ended with a 49-35 record and a 1-3 postseason mark. Despite his leadership, the Cowboys failed to maximize their potential.

Parsons made it clear that the players bear responsibility, too. “There are no setbacks,” he declared. “Some of the greatest players learn to adjust. … At the end of the day, coaches can only do so much. Us as players, we got to build a winning culture.

His belief remains unshaken: “I said we’re gonna hold the (Super Bowl) trophy because I believe in our guys.”

The Cowboys now face a pivotal offseason, with the hunt for a new head coach looming large.

Fans, however, weren’t entirely sold on Parsons’ leadership-focused rhetoric. While some applauded his optimism, others called for fewer words and more action.

Parsons’ emotional take on McCarthy’s exit, calling it “devastating” and a “complete reset,” sparked a firestorm of reactions from fans.

One fan commented, “Bro needs to get off the pod and worry about winning some games.” The sentiment reflects growing impatience among Cowboys Nation, who are fed up with big talk and little postseason success.

Another fan took a lighthearted jab, speculating, “He either capping or going to Washington lmao.” While likely a joke, it hints at the broader uncertainty surrounding the Cowboys’ direction in this pivotal offseason.

Others believe the reset could be just what Big D needs. “Sometimes big resets bring out the best of changes,” one hopeful fan tweeted. “I hope they can start a great new chapter.”

Another added, “Micah is right. Security isn’t guaranteed for the Cowboys. Changes could really go either way.”

The optimism has its limits, though. “Cowboys need a complete reset lol,” one fan remarked, capturing the lingering frustration over unfulfilled potential.

The Cowboys’ offseason now hangs in the balance, with fans divided between skepticism and hope.
