NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah broke down Colorado Buffaloes dual-threat wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter’s impressive skills on the NFL’s official Instagram profile, showing various impressive offensive and defensive plays by Hunter accompanied by Jeremiah’s discussion of what makes Hunter such a unique and amazing talent.
Football fans have started discussing their expectations for Hunter as a prospect in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.

Social Media Reaction To Travis Hunter’s Skills
The NFL posted the video of Jeremiah’s commentary on its Instagram, highlighting Hunter’s unique versatility.
“Man-to-man, able to carry those vertical routes and then locate the football, not an issue,” Jeremiah said. “… The ball skills, you see that on both sides of the ball — exceptional. … And then after the catch, it’s the explosiveness to be able to get anywhere he wants to on the football field.”

In response, one individual made clear that Hunter was equally amazing as both a wide receiver and a cornerback: “Film don’t lie he’s cb1 and wr2 if anything,” they said.
Another user outlined how they thought Hunter was a better receiver than cornerback.
“Bro is a better WR than he is a CB. He looks more natural playing WR. Thats where he should play in my opinion,” they added.
Hunter was amazing this past season for the Buffaloes on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he had 96 receptions for 1,258 receiving yards and 16 total touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, Hunter amassed four interceptions and one forced fumble.
Hunter’s 2025 NFL Draft Projection
Due to his versatility and amazing college football career, which culminated with a Heisman Trophy award in 2024, Hunter is widely expected to be one of the first names selected in the upcoming NFL Draft. Though it is still unclear which position he will play in the NFL, he has proven that his speed, strong hands, high football IQ, anticipation, and sharp route running skills translate to both sides of the ball and in any situation.

In PFSN’s Ben Rolfe’s latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft, Hunter was selected No. 3 overall by the New York Giants.
“The New York Giants are one out of a couple of landing spots where Travis Hunter may be able to play both ways. The Giants need playmakers on both sides of the ball, and Hunter would provide that option. He will most likely be a full-time defensive player and then see some offensive snaps in certain situations,” Rolfe said.
“The athleticism and versatility that Hunter offers are tantalizing. He is so good with the ball in his hands — it will be tempting to play him as much as possible. Any team drafting him will need to be smart because playing 1,500 snaps is close to impossible in the modern NFL. As a rookie, Hunter could also be a valuable special-teams option, playing on defense, and then have a couple of packages a game on offense.”
