Jacksonville Jaguars fans light up social media with humor as Jaxson de Ville loses to a Titans player on the jumbotron before their Week 17 game!

The Jacksonville Jaguars have suffered this season with an abysmal 3-12 tally, and amusingly, they found themselves trending for all the wrong reasons again. During their Week 17 matchup against the Tennessee Titans, the team’s jumbotron delivered a moment that NFL fans couldn’t help but roast online.

Fans React to Hilarious Knockdown of Jacksonville Jaguars’ Mascot

The Jaguars are grappling to grab a few wins this season. As they face the Titans in Week 17 in an attempt to grab a last few wins, their own mascot, Jaxson de Ville, was hilariously knocked out by a Titans player in a pre-skit on the jumbotron.

The stunt couldn’t have been worse for a fanbase that is already enduring a brutal season. Social media lit up with reactions, dubbing the Jaguars a “poverty franchise” for allowing their mascot to take an L on their home turf, both literally and figuratively.

One fan quipped, “I cannot believe the Jags let that happen…Poverty franchise.”

Another one joked, “This is the funniest thing I’ve seen all year.”

“What an embarrassment it for this org,” wrote another amused fan.

A voice couldn’t help but muse about the Jaguars’ brutal season, writing, “About an accurate summary of the Jaguar’s season.”

A stunned fan questioned, “How are you gonna have your own mascot lose in this.”

A similar voice noted, “In their own stadium is crazy.”

The mix of humor and frustration captured the mood of a fanbase desperate for something to cheer about in an otherwise forgettable year. Despite the laughter, some fans saw the skit as emblematic of a larger problem — a lack of awareness from the organization about how it’s perceived.

Fans Demand Shad Khan Fire GM Trent Baalke in the Most Innovative Way

Another storm has been brewing for the Jaguars, as the fanbase is busy demanding owner Shad Khan fire their general manager, Trent Baalke. On Dec. 29, an airplane flew near EverBank Stadium with a banner that read, “Shad-Fire Baalke! For Duval!”

The Jaguars have seen two winning seasons since Baalke’s induction in Jacksonville. However, the team has had losing streaks of four and five in 2024 and is now dealing with a hard season and no chances left to save face. Despite the backlash, Khan has remained full of hope as he recently offered support to Baalke, head coach Doug Pederson, and the team.

“I still believe in them. I believe in the players, [and] I believe in the coaching staff. [Also], I believe in Trent [Baalke],” Khan said via Jacksonville.com.

The Jaguars must hope their on-field performance can give fans something positive to talk about.
