It wasn’t a pre-game show — it was a literal falling piece of the action. And, of course, fans didn’t waste a second calling out the man in charge. Could this be the Cowboys’ latest way of adding some edge to the season? Whatever it was, it sure caught everyone’s attention!

Jerry Jones Faces Backlash After Stadium Roof Incident

NFL insider Jeff Kolb tweeted that a big chunk of metal fell from AT&T Stadium’s roof just moments before Monday Night Football, nearly missing several production crew members. The alarming moment quickly set the internet on fire, with fans unleashing their frustrations.

The reactions came fast and furious. One fan tweeted, “Sell the team Jerry Jones,” echoing a sentiment many have voiced in recent years, as the Cowboys’ playoff failures stack up.

Another fan remarked, “EVERYTHING is falling apart for the Cowboys,” likely drawing a parallel to the team’s erratic performance on-field.

Some took a darker view, suggesting the stadium itself might need a major rebuild. “Guess we need to tear it down,” said one fan.

Another saw it as a divine sign, claiming, “If that’s not a sign from God I don’t know what is… whole organization falling apart.”

Then there was this user who couldn’t resist a bit of humor, saying, “The dumpster fire begins before the game even kicks off.”

And, of course, there was the fan who couldn’t help but make a joke about the Cowboys’ long-standing Super Bowl dreams: “I thought those were broken Super Bowl dreams coming down to earth.”

As crazy as the falling metal was, the real story here is how it fueled fans’ ongoing frustrations with Jones and the Cowboys. Whether it’s on-field or from the roof, this team just can’t catch a break.

Could Jason Witten be the next big NFL coaching name? Jones certainly thinks so. Amid speculation surrounding the future of Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy (especially with the team at 3-6), Jones didn’t hesitate when asked if Witten could one day lead an NFL team.

On his “105.3 The Fan” appearance, Jones praised Witten’s football knowledge, saying, “He has something that you can’t draw up. He reminds me a lot of our other tight end who is head coach up there in Detroit right now [Dan Campbell].”

Jones emphasized Witten’s understanding of the game’s intricacies and physicality, adding, “Without a question, he could become [an NFL coach]. He has extraordinary work ethic. … He can be a top coach.”

Witten, the former Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro with 12,977 receiving yards, is now coaching at Liberty Christian School in Argyle, Texas. With McCarthy’s future uncertain, could Witten be the next to take the reins of America’s Team? Stay tuned.
