On Saturday night, Jan. 18, the Washington Commanders secured a massive 45-31 win over the Detroit Lions during the Divisional Round to reach the NFC Championship Game.
While the NFL world couldn’t stop praising Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, a Dallas Cowboys cornerback gave special praise to head coach Dan Quinn.
Jourdan Lewis Hilariously Reacts to Dan Quinn’s Massive Win
After the Commanders defeated the top-seeded Lions, Cowboys CB Jourdan Lewis couldn’t help but share his honest reaction to Quinn’s success with the team.

Quinn was appointed as the Cowboys’ defense coordinator for three seasons in 2021 after being fired by the Atlanta Falcons in 2020.
Quinn’s three years with the Cowboys were some of the best the franchise has seen. While taking the head coaching job with the Commanders, he expressed gratitude for his time with the franchise and said he wouldn’t be where he is without their support.

Fans resonated with Lewis’ comment and agreed that letting Quinn go was one of the “biggest mistakes” the Jerry Jones-owned franchise made.

“Maybe he could’ve done the same with the Cowboys too. Instead he was more worried about taking interviews during the playoffs than having his defense prepared against Green Bay,” one fan said, referencing Dallas’ 2023-24 playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers.
“The problem is Jerry and how he is too involved. Let the coaches coach and run the team. I liked Mcarthy p***ed he is gone. But it’s on Jerry. Plus NFL is more rigged to a certain extent. Chiefs prime example. Knew this would happen when gambling became involved with the NFL,” another fan added, taking shots at Jerry Jones, the NFL, Kansas City Chiefs but hyping praise toward Mike McCarthy.
“521 yards & created 5 takeaways from the #1 seed. Yep, that DQ. When you have an owner for your GM, you settle for a really good backyard football team. Cowboys could be on fire, but not when the owner pulls all the strings. Commanders were blessed when Snyder sold the team,” another fan pointed out, calling out former owner Dan Snyder.
“Yep. And then hiring Kliff Kingsbury, who then wanted to draft Jayden. It’s not just Dan Quinn, it was him hiring the right people, and the GM getting the talent. And drafting Jayden is like winning the lottery,” another fan added.
“We should have done ANYTHING POSSIBLE to hold on to DQ,” another fan boldly added.

“Dallas never recovered from that playoff loss to the Packers last year. It lingered into the offseason and they lost in free agency & draft. They’ve got a tough 2-3 yrs to go and if they make some good moves, maybe, just maybe they get to the big dance in Dak’s last years,” another fan added, wanting to see Dallas QB Dak Prescott succeed.
The Commanders will now gear up to play their first NFC Championship Game in 33 years thanks to rookie and former Heisman Trophy winner Daniels.
