    Published on

Cooper Kupp's new look had Rams fans hyped. While his night did not go as expected on a personal level, the Rams had a big Wild Card game.

Cooper Kupp pulled up to the playoffs looking like he’s ready to star in his own action flick — new look, same elite energy. NFL fans were losing it, hyped about the Los Angeles Rams star’s return to the playoffs.

NFL social media was practically writing his stat line before kickoff, and while his individual performance did not go as predicted, his team pulled out the dominant win regardless.

Cooper Kupp’s Braided Transformation Has NFL Fans Surprised

Kupp’s game-breaking ability already keeps defenses up at night, but his new braided hairdo had fans buzzing for a different reason. Ahead of the Rams’ relocated playoff showdown with the Vikings in Glendale, Ariz., Kupp debuted his bold new look, and X (formerly Twitter) went wild.

One fan proclaimed, “Bro is going for 150 yards and 2 TDs,” while another envisioned history, saying, “Braided Coop might eclipse 2021 Coop.”

Neither came to fruition (one catch for 29 yards is well short of his public expectations), but in a no-doubt 27-9 win, the Rams never needed Kupp to perform at his highest level

Another user talked about his new look, saying it seemed like he was brand new. “Omg…he’s reached his final form,” they said.

However, not everyone was on board. “He does NOT have that s**t on,” one fan said.

Another fan made light of his look, comparing his look to social media sensation and boxing figure Jake Paul: “Jake Paul be doing anything.”

Meanwhile, others were given the gift of prophecy:

Kupp’s cool demeanor amid the chaos stood out. The Rams’ home playoff game was shifted due to devastating Los Angeles wildfires, forcing them to practice at the Arizona Cardinals facility. Despite the disruption, Kupp emphasized unity: “It’s an opportunity for us to draw closer together and do something special.”

The Rams capitalized early, taking a 10-0 lead with Matthew Stafford hitting Kyren Williams for a touchdown and adding a field goal on their next drive. Kupp’s energy was palpable, and fans couldn’t contain their excitement.

Regardless of opinions on the hair, one thing’s for sure: Kupp brings the juice.

The Rams were locked in for their Wild Card clash with the Vikings, but let’s talk about the elephant in the room — Kupp might not be sticking around after this playoff run.

Bleacher Report’s Maurice Moton is calling it: Kupp could be heading to the Washington Commanders.

The proposed deal: a 2025 third-round and seventh-round pick. Not exactly blockbuster compensation for a guy who’s been the face of L.A.’s offense, but the Rams might see it differently.

Kupp’s been battling injuries, capping his 2024 season at 710 yards and six touchdowns on 67 catches. And with a massive $80.1 million contract, plus Puka Nacua’s rise as a star receiver, the Rams might decide it’s time to flip the script.

Here’s the kicker — if the Commanders win their Divisional Round matchup and the Rams take down the Philadelphia Eagles, we could see Kupp lining up against his proposed future squad in the NFC Championship Game.

For now, though, it’s all speculation, and for Kupp it’s all about the playoffs. Whether Kupp stays or goes, his impact on L.A. is undeniable. But with the offseason looming, big changes could be brewing in Hollywood.
