The Colorado Buffaloes ended their 2024 campaign on Dec. 28 after the Alamo Bowl against BYU, which unfolded in a 36-14 score in favor of the Cougars. Even though the season ended on a low note, the Boulder, Colo.-based program has something to look forward to, as many seniors are preparing for the 2025 NFL Draft, including cornerstone players like quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who is projected to be a Day 1 pick.
Wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. is also taking the leap, and with him receiving an invitation to the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, he has a big chance to fulfill his NFL dreams.

With his invitation, Horn has received an elated response from fans as well.
“I’ve been saying this, Jimmy is going to be an elite NFL Talent,” a fan said.
“Congratulations Jimmy! Praying for you young man…,” a fan chimed in.
Horn is a native of Sanford, Fla., and was raised by his father, Jimmy Horn Sr., a former college football player, who did not reach the NFL. Growing up in a rough neighborhood, Horn found solace in football, following in his father’s footsteps.
Horn also considers his program’s coach Deion Sanders a father figure and even asked Coach Prime to walk him out on Colorado’s Senior Day because his father, who is incarcerated, could not be there.
“Wow – how special is this!! Kid is gonna show them and continue to make his dad
and Prime proud!!!” another fan noted.
“He gonna be a steal in the draft,” a fan said. Horn recorded 441 yards on 37 receptions and one touchdown in 2024.
“Awesome 👍🏾 This will be CU’s largest Draft Class,” a fan noted.
Horn was also a track and field athlete during his high school days. In light of his speed, according to NFL Draft Buzz, he dashed 40 yards in 4.34 seconds.
“His 40 time is gonna get him drafted, I don’t see him running less than a 4.39,” a fan wrote.
Coach Prime joined the trend and congratulated his athlete for the invitation to the Combine on his Instagram on Dec. 31.
