‘Retire Already’ — Netflix’s Aaron Rodgers Documentary Announcement Fails To Move NFL Fans

    Published on

To some fans, Aaron Rodgers is losing his charm by the day as his latest Netflix documentary "Aaron Rodgers: Enigma" fails to excite fans.

Aaron Rodgers has lost his magic touch. His bad form coupled with a horrible 2024 NFL season for the New York Jets so far has led fans to lose trust in the football legend. As the veteran quarterback struggles on the field with the Jets, Netflix is set to release “Aaron Rodgers: Enigma,” a three-part documentary covering his journey from his Achilles injury to his expected 2024 comeback.

However, fans appear less than thrilled about the announcement. Many took to social media to express their indifference or outright disdain.

NFL Fans Reject Aaron Rodgers’ Netflix Documentary

Rodgers’ subpar form has left fans unimpressed with the timing of the documentary. One fan sarcastically quipped, “Nobody cares. Retire already, Aaron.”

Another stated, “The inside story on how one of the most talented QBs to ever play the game only won 1 Super Bowl.”

“LOL. This is gonna be horrible 😂,” wrote another.

“Find me a bigger fraud going to find himself with a nflx video crew videoing his every move lmao,” wrote another.

One Jets fan commented, “No one cares now that he didn’t pan out for us.”

Another X user tweeted, “Mr.Irrelevant gets his own Documentary. Hope he gets a ton of cash….the world is about to tune him out for good.”

“Can’t wait to hate watch this,” said another.

While the documentary receives harsh criticism, it promises an intimate look into Rodgers’ life, including his rehabilitation journey, international trips, and more.

Rodgers discussed the project on “The Pat McAfee Show,” expressing excitement about its release on Dec. 17.

“It chronicles a lot of the rehab … and has some great backstory stuff from my 18 years in Green Bay, [Wisc.],” Rodgers said. He admitted it was a vulnerable experience but remains optimistic about the final product.

Meanwhile, Rodgers’ performance with the Jets is another story. The 41-year-old QB, who has registered 2,442 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and seven interceptions so far, has faced scrutiny all season. In the Jets’ Week 13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, a critical error in the second quarter led to a pick-six, and the Jets suffered a 26-21 defeat. For now, Rodgers seems to be struggling to regain his once-dominant form.

The Jets (3-9) are on track for another losing season, and speculation about Rodgers’ future in the NFL is rife. Reports suggest his return to the Jets next year is unlikely, and some fans seem ready to see him step away from the game. Whether “Aaron Rodgers: Enigma” can shift the narrative remains to be seen, but for now, the spotlight on the quarterback is as polarizing as ever.
