Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens lost 24-19 to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13. It was another big game in which the two-time NFL MVP did not play to his usual standards.
This was the Ravens’ fifth loss of the season, and since Jackson underperformed against another quality opponent, he is likely out of the MVP race. Baltimore has a bye in Week 14, and in order to cope with the loss to the Eagles, Jackson trolled himself on his social media account.
Fans React to Lamar Jackson Trolling Himself
Jackson posted a face-swap picture of himself with a Ravens fan who went viral on X a few weeks ago. The Ravens star meant no harm and was just trying to have fun during the team’s bye week, but the fans were surprised that he posted that photo. Here’s how they reacted:
He has no shame

Although everything was done just to have fun, Jackson made the fan’s day, who initially might not have liked that his picture once again went viral. Nevertheless, Ravens fans hope their quarterback will utilize the bye week properly and be ready to push for the Super Bowl.
Jackson is having a phenomenal season, but due to his team’s record and sub-par performances in losses against the likes of Pittsburgh Steelers, Eagles, and Kansas City Chiefs, his chances of winning back-to-back MVPs have likely ended.
Jackson’s Mother Scolded Him After Loss to Eagles
In the loss to the Eagles, Jackson threw for 237 yards and two touchdowns, completing 63.8% of his throws. He did rush for 79 yards on eight carries, but his mother wasn’t pleased with his performance.
Jackson’s mother scolded him after the game as she thought the quarterback had more opportunities to take off with the ball.
“She just cussed me out, so I’m mad,” said the Ravens quarterback, per NFL Network. “We’re going to get after it. I’m not going to lie to you; we’re going to get after it. I can’t wait for this bye [week] to get on. We have the [New York Giants] coming up. I’m ready to go. I’m just ready to go.”

Jackson is averaging 6.1 carries and 52.2 rushing yards per game this season. The team has prioritized running the ball with Derrick Henry, which has allowed the quarterback to flourish in the passing game. However, the Ravens’ losses to quality opponents are a cause of concern, which might force the team to make some strategic changes, including different usage of the quarterback.
In the race to win the AFC North, Baltimore is 1.5 games behind the Steelers. The two teams will face each other in Week 16, and Jackson needs to lead his team to a win at home against their biggest rivals.
