Quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs and running back Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles will soon face off in Super Bowl 59. The game will kick off on Feb. 9, with the two teams set to compete in a rematch from Super Bowl 57.
In the lead-up to the game, both teams are in New Orleans to complete their media obligations. While many questions are about strategy and what to expect, others are more lighthearted.
NFL Fans React to Patrick Mahomes and Saquon Barkley’s Interesting Favorite Colors
One of the fun questions reporters asked many of the players on Super Bowl Media Day was what their favorite color is. Mahomes and Barkley have favorite colors that might need to be swapped.
In a video posted on Instagram, Mahomes revealed that his favorite color is green. In the same video, Barkley said his favorite color is red before quickly saying that that might not work right now.

They were amusing responses, and NFL fans reacted to them on Instagram.
“I bet whoever will lose will regret this answer,” one fan wrote.
“Heavy on Green my fav color! Green for the money,” one fan commented.
“Super Bowl media day is so odd, makes the finals feel like a weird ad thing instead of an actual competition,” one fan added.
Fans continued to talk about the two players, with one even calling out Mahomes for his laugh.
“Bro Mahomes laugh is so annoying like he was so proud of himself for that joke,” one fan wrote.
“Mahomes likes green cuz Kermit,” one fan commented.
“We have prepared both green and red confetti for the festivities,” one fan added.
Heading into the Super Bowl, the Chiefs are the favorites. They have -120 odds to win on FanDuel, whereas the Eagles have +102 odds. If the Chiefs win, they will secure a three-peat, making them the first team in NFL history to win three Super Bowls in a row.
The game is also significant for Mahomes’ legacy. He is already viewed as one of the best quarterbacks of all time. Some people only have him behind Tom Brady on the all-time list.
For Mahomes to eventually catch Brady, he will need to get close to his seven Super Bowls. A win this year would get Mahomes past the halfway point with four Super Bowl wins.
