Dan Campbell Can’t Help But Praise O’Connell

The Vikings will lock horns with the Detroit Lions on Sunday night in a game that will not only determine the supremacy of the NFC North but also the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage for the playoffs.

Despite the heavy impications, Lions head coach Dan Campbell couldn’t help but praise his counterpart.

“Yeah, listen, he’s (O’Connell) an excellent coach,” Campbell said at his Wednesday press conference. “I mean, you look at what he’s done, now, going on three years, their offensive scheme is, they do a great job, man.”

“Very creative and they understand how to find weaknesses and pick at them, get the most out of their players, put their players in position to have success.”

The Vikings and the Lions will close out their regular season at Ford Field on Sunday Night Football, with kickoff scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET.
