‘Make This the MVP Logo’ — NFL Fans in Disbelief as Lamar Jackson Hits Steph Curry-Style No-Look Pass

    Published on

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson thrilled NFL fans with his no-look pass celebration akin to that of point guard Steph Curry.

The Baltimore Ravens ended their regular season, winning four straight games and finishing at the top of the AFC North with a 12-5 record. Much of this successful campaign can be attributed to their quarterback Lamar Jackson, whose second touchdown against the Cleveland Browns in Week 18 had NFL fans in disbelief.

NFL Fans Go Nuts as Lamar Jackson Hits Steph Curry’s No-Look Pass

Jackson’s incredible outings included some touchdown passes that reminded fans of NBA point guard Steph Curry’s signature no-look passes, where the NBA star lets his 3-point shots fly and celebrates the basket even before the ball goes in. He turns away after the ball leaves his hands, raising his arm, as if he already knows it’s going in.

Similarly, against the Houston Texans a week before, Jackson threw a nine-yard touchdown to Isaiah Likely but didn’t wait to see the play unfold. Instead, he turned away and started celebrating, much like Curry does after hitting a 3-pointer. Baltimore won that game 31-2.

Jackson did it again in the Cleveland game, throwing a seven-yard TD to wide receiver Rashod Bateman in the third quarter and immediately celebrated without looking. With the momentum in their hands, the Ravens won 35-10.

NFL fans were thrilled by these plays, flooding the comment section with a barrage of reactions.

“This is the same as Steph’s turn around 3,” a fan said.

“If I hated GREATNESS, I’d hate Lamar Jackson too!” a fan wrote.

“People are so scared to get their ankles broken by him, that they just watch him instead of going after him,” a fan noted.

Fans advocated for Jackson to be selected as the MVP of the 2024-25 season.

“Make this the MVP logo. MV3,” one fan said.

“Look at LJ man so inspirational,” another chimed in.

“MVP MVP MVP MVP MVP,” a fan chanted.

In light of this, alongside Jackson in the MVP conversation is Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. However, Jackson’s stats clearly make him the top pick for the award, according to his head coach John Harbaugh:

“I mean, 4,172 passing yards, 41 touchdown passes, more than 900 rushing yards, and over 20,000 career passing yards. What else needs to be said?” Harbaugh said. “He’s a competitor. He’s a fighter, and he’s relentless. He’s one of a kind.”

Jackson ranks second in TD passes after Cincinnati BengalsJoe Burrow, who has 43.

Further talking about Jackson’s leadership qualities, Harbaugh said, “There’s Lamar in the locker room, and he’s not happy with the last drive. If we didn’t handle it perfectly, he wants it fixed.”

For instance, Jackson showed his leadership capabilities in the Ravens’ 34-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Dec. 22. Even when he threw one of his rare interceptions (four in 17 games), he stayed calm and moved past his mistake while on the field.

Post-game, he reflected on the play and said (as relayed by team editorial director Ryan Mink): “I feel like I could be better.”

After the interception, he put his trust in the team’s defense, and Marlon Humphrey stepped up, picking off a Steelers pass and running it back 37 yards for a score, which eventually led to their win.

The team is now in the playoffs as the No. 3 seed and will host the AFC’s No. 6 seed in the Wild Card Round. It will either be against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who they lost 18-16 in their Week 11 game, or the Los Angeles Chargers, who Baltimore beat 30-23 in Week 12.
