‘He Knows Ball Unlike You’ – NFL Fans Call Out Todd Bowles Criticism After His Fumbling Video Goes Viral

    Published on

NFL fans debate on social media about Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles' mid-game interview in the Wild Card game against the Commanders.

NFL fans are discussing Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles after a now-trending social media video was released to X (formerly Twitter). In the video, Bowles stumbles upon his words numerous times during a halftime interview with NBC Sports reporter Melissa Stark. As a result, football fans have begun raising questions about his job security this offseason.

Bowles and the Buccaneers lost to the Jayden Daniels-led Washington Commanders in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs. Despite having the higher seed coming into the matchup, the Buccaneers struggled to contain Daniels and star wide receiver Terry McLaurin in the 23-20 loss.

Social Media Reaction to Todd Bowles Trending Video

Bowles struggled to clearly articulate his thoughts during the mid-game interview.

“He keeps getting out of the pocket to his left. To his, our left. His left. I mean, our left, his right,” Bowles stated.

In response, one individual pinned the statement and added how he could not believe that Bowles was still a head coach in the NFL.

“How is he still a head coach…🤦‍♂️,” they detailed.

Meanwhile, someone detailed how media performance does not equate to you being a good or a bad coach.

“Not everyone is comfortable speaking w the media. He’s still a good coach 👍,” they said.

Another individual came to the defense of Bowles and criticized those criticizing him.

“He is a good coach wtf? He knows ball unlike you,” they detailed.

    Tampa Bay Buccaneers Offseason Preview

With the loss, the Buccaneers’ offseason officially begins. And despite the debate on social media, Bowles’ job appears safe for now.

With that said, Tampa Bay’s team may look much different at the start of next campaign than it did in the Wild Card game against the Commanders.

As ESPN analyst Adam Schefter reports, the Bucs have numerous key free agents, including star wide receiver Chris Godwin, linebacker Lavonte David, and EDGE rusher Anthony Nelson — whose futures need to be discussed soon.

Meanwhile, quarterback Baker Mayfield and favorite target Mike Evans, as well as standout rookie running back Bucky Irving, are expected to return next year.

As a result, though the Bucs will unquestionably look different at the beginning of the new campaign, the Bowles-led team does have talented pieces of the future that will surely be able to continue to challenge in the rather uninspiring NFC South division.
