NFL Fans Blast Jordan Love After Meltdown Versus Struggling Las Vegas Raiders

    Published on

Is Jordan Love ready for prime time? His latest performance versus Raiders brought out strong critics on if he's capable of leading the Packers.

Jordan Love has had two prime-time games through the first five games of the Green Bay Packers’ season. But both games point to a quarterback who has many wondering if he’s ready for marquee NFL games.

Love already faced the daunting task of stepping in for franchise legend and Super Bowl winner Aaron Rodgers. Now, after much optimism for the Love era, things have unraveled quickly for Love and the Pack — leading to skepticism on if Love is a legit NFL quarterback.

From the current NFL standings to team depth charts to coverage of every game in the 18-week NFL schedule, we have all the news from around the league to keep you up to speed!

Jordan Love Part of ‘Horrific’ Packers Blame in Loss to Raiders

The game ended with this Love miscue that completed a three-interception night for the Silver and Black:

From there, the critics were out in full force for both the Packers and their new QB1.

“Really, really bad loss for the Packers. This Raiders team is not good. Packers are even worse. Reality setting in that Green Bay simply doesn’t have a good team this season,” Packers beat writer for The Athletic said on X (formerly known as Twitter) after the game.

Green Bay’s defense kept the team in the game, managing to hold the Raiders under 300 yards of total offense. Nonetheless, the turnovers proved treacherous.

NFL analyst Warren Sharp brought out this dismal stat that involved Love. And it involved the short throws.

Sharp added how in the last two weeks, Love has gone 14-of-32 with five interceptions and no touchdowns on passes thrown over five yards.

Worse for Love on this latest Packers loss, a past undrafted linebacker named Robert Spillane ended up with two of Love’s three picks. And Spillane entered the MNF game with only one career NFL interception.

    Social Media Reactions Troll Love

Following the game, the criticism and mockery of Love’s outing were out in full force.

The Volume was one account that trolled Love with a Chicago Bears gif.

Meanwhile, one account now reminded fans who leads the NFL in interceptions: Love himself.

Love now has his first career three-interception game. But again, it’s been a part of a current slump he’s now in.

Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur and Love React to Disappointing Loss

How did Love’s head coach Matt LaFleur feel about the way his starting quarterback played?

“I loved that he competed,” LaFleur began with reporters. “He stays resilient. There is no flinch in him. He stays positive with the guys. The guys rally around him.”

However, the head coach added: “We’ve got to clean up some things,” including, “Obviously a very disappointing loss. When you have three turnovers, it’s tough to overcome that.”

While LaFleur was proud of the effort of the Pack and how “they’ll continue to fight,” he shared what needs to happen for his team moving forward.

“We just have to do a better job of being consistent. Offensively, we’ve got to find a way to score points,” LaFleur said.

Love, meanwhile, admitted that he didn’t get enough on the ball to Christian Watson on the final interception. But was that his only admission of what went wrong?

“It’s tough. We had a lot of opportunities,” Love said postgame. “We didn’t do enough and I didn’t do enough. We had opportunities to go win it and we didn’t.”

Love vows that he has to be better. But for a team with high expectations like the Packers and for a QB replacing a franchise legend, the patience is starting to wear thin for the Love era.
