Caleb Williams had the world at his feet before the start of the season. The overall No. 1 pick looked like he would change the Chicago Bears’ destiny.
However, that did not happen. Instead, Matt Eberflus became the first head coach in the Bears’ history to be fired mid-season. Fans believe Williams is still not done aiming at him.
Matt Eberflus Is Still in Caleb Williams’ Crosshairs, Suggests NFL Fans
The 23-year-old recently appeared on Amon-Ra St. Brown’s podcast and highlighted the things he’d want in his next HC. Williams highlighted several qualities through his biased lenses but mentioned “time management” multiple times.
The issue of time management, especially for timeouts, became Eberflus’ biggest drawback, which led to his firing. A clip of Williams’ segment on the next HC was posted on X (formerly Twitter), and the fans didn’t miss Williams’ hints.
“Everything Caleb says he wants here is everything Flus WASN’T & I find it absolutely hilarious. Professionally sneak dissing”, responded one fan.
“He ain’t wrong tho no lies detected,” added another fan.

“I hear many shots fired at Flus but that may just be me,” replied a fan.
“I couldn’t help but laugh when he mentioned ‘a coach that understands clock management.’ I hope that BOZO Eberflus is watching this,” tweeted a fan.

Williams’ Ideal Head Coach for the Bears
Apart from time-management skills, the QB had several other layers of expertise in mind for his future HC. “Selfishly, I want an offensive-minded guy, so I can build with him and, you know, be with that coach for the next … 19, 17, 15 years,” Williams said.
“And so, I can also learn and grow, and you know, things like that, um, from him, and what he’s seen, and what he’s gone through with, you know, maybe other QBs or been around.”
“Win championships. That’s the — I mean, that’s the only goal that I have for my NFL career is to go win a championship, and championships start with one, just so you know,” Williams added.
