Tom Brady becoming a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders has changed the landscape of the NFL. As such, many fans were looking forward to Brady pairing with Shedeur Sanders with the Raiders next season.
Those hopes were dashed after the Raiders defeated the Jaguars in Week 16. However, Raiders insider Vincent Bonsignore highlights a path for Sanders to join the Raiders.
Shedeur Sanders Could Join Tom Brady’s Raiders Next Season Despite the Victory
For most of the season, the Raiders were near the top draft spot. However, after their win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, they have slipped to the sixth position. Next year’s top two quarterback prospects — Sanders and Cam Ward — look out of reach.
However, Bonsignore argues that a lot can change in the last two weeks of the regular season. The Raiders will face off against the New Orleans Saints and the Los Angeles Chargers; both tough games and losses could put them back on top.
The @Raiders are still very much in range for Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward. I explain here: https://t.co/MJWXhmtyff

Furthermore, the Tennessee Titans and the Jaguars will compete this Sunday, and this will help the Raiders’ cause as well (the Titans and Jaguars have three wins like the Raiders). If all else fails, Bonsignore argues that Brady and Co. could easily move up the draft as well.
Unlike last year, teams such as the New England Patriots and the Jaguars aren’t QB-hungry and will be open to deals. The one team that needs a QB desperately? The New York Giants.
Brady’s Influence Over the Raiders’ Decision-Making
Mark Davis has reiterated that Brady will not be involved in any calls that the franchise makes in 2025 concerning coaching changes. However, NFL insider Albert Breer suggests things could not be that simple.
“Tom Brady’s influence over Mark Davis could be a wild card,” writes Breer in his column. “I do think Brady is too invested in broadcasting now — with the NFC title game and Super Bowl to call — to be engaged in a coaching search.”
“But … I also think Davis will listen to his suggestions, so he may not need to be that involved to have an impact,” he added.
Davis has previously hinted that Brady will be an active participant if the Raiders draft a QB.
