The NFL season is entering the final few weeks of play. With teams starting to be eliminated from the postseason, their focus will soon be on how to improve their roster in 2024. That includes the 2024 NFL Draft.
Here are the latest NFL Draft rumors across the league. What could the Chicago Bears do with Justin Fields, and what’s Marvin Harrison Jr.’s floor?
Latest NFL Draft Rumors
Chicago Bears Won’t Pass on Caleb Williams
Bears GM Ryan Poles didn’t draft Justin Fields, so there’s no allegiance to the dual-threat QB. If USC star QB Caleb Williams checks out well during the pre-draft process, he will be the selection for the Bears with the No. 1 overall pick that Chicago received from Carolina.
This team must get the quarterback situation right going forward and for the first time in decades. Fields has his fifth-year option decision due by March 2, and Chicago would obviously decline it and look to trade him if they decide they’re going to draft Williams here.
New England Patriots Linked to Drake Maye
From talking to a source with knowledge of the situation, third-year New England Patriots QB Mac Jones looked like he was clearly the player of the future at the position after having a stellar rookie season.
However, Jones dropped off badly during his second season due in part to questionable coaching. He has struggled so much in 2023 that the former first-rounder has been benched.
Meanwhile, North Carolina QB Drake Maye is very well-liked in the scouting community and makes sense in New England to be their quarterback of the future.
Arizona Cardinals Are Marvin Harrison Jr.’s Floor
Arizona has a ton of needs for the future, but you can’t pass up a generational talent in Marvin Harrison Jr. The Cardinals do have a dire need at receiver and can address other positional issues as the draft progresses.
Harrison hasn’t declared his intention to enter the draft yet or stay in school, but if he leaves, he won’t get past the Cardinals.
Trenches Are Considered Washington’s Biggest Needs
Washington’s roster is lacking, and they could look at a variety of players in the first round. The two biggest immediate and future needs are considered to be on the offensive and defensive lines.

But getting a tackle who can start right away at LT or RT and eventually replace veteran Charles Leno is preferred.
Medical Concerns on Laiatu Latu May Be in the Past
A neck injury ended Laiatu Latu‘s career at Washington, forcing him to medically retire. However, Latu gained medical clearance at UCLA, where he became a dominant pass rusher over the last two years. He missed the 2020 season but hasn’t missed time since.
Latu is widely recognized as the top edge rusher for this draft.
QB Might Not Be a Priority for New York Giants
The Giants have a ton of current and future needs. GM Joe Schoen recently said they plan to go with QB Daniel Jones for next season as their starter once healthy, so getting a QB doesn’t seem like a priority at least early on in the draft.
Tennessee Titans OL Considered ‘One of the Worst’
It’s not exactly a secret that the Tennessee Titans have one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL. Look for them to address at least one of their needs at tackle in Round 1, with the center position also needing an upgrade.
Nate Wiggins Could Fill Huge CB Need in Atlanta
Atlanta has been looking for someone to line up for the long haul at cornerback opposite A.J. Terrell. The franchise may be able to go back to the school where Terrell played to find their answer.
Clemson’s Nate Wiggins would be a solid match on the other side of Terrell.
Jordan Love’s Improvement Bodes Well for 2024 Status
It would seem that fourth-year QB Jordan Love has shown enough to at least come back as the starter next season for Green Bay. He’ll only earn $6 million next season in total ($5 million base salary, $500,000 workout bonus), so he’s quite cost-effective.

From talking to some pro scouting sources, Love has definitely shown improvement this season.
Denver Broncos Like Riley Moss But Want More CB Help
While we’re told Denver is intrigued by third-round CB Riley Moss, he generally has only played on special teams this season. Denver still needs to find the long-term starter opposite Pat Surtain II, and Alabama’s Terrion Arnold could be that guy.
More 2024 NFL Draft Rumors
The offensive tackle position for the New York Jets has been a problem for years. Someone like Alabama’s JC Latham would be their LT for a long time. He would join C Joe Tippmann and G Alijah Vera-Tucker as the core of the offensive line for the future.
We don’t know what type of defensive scheme the Los Angeles Chargers will run going forward until they hire a new head coach. However, it’s obvious that they’re in need of pass-rushing help for the future. With this in mind, Florida State’s Jared Verse should be in consideration for their first-round pick.
The Raiders are another team that could go in a variety of ways in the draft because they have so many needs from both sides of the ball. But one of the biggest future needs is at cornerback, where they only have the underrated Nate Hobbs as a starter.
As we reported weeks ago, Las Vegas would not entertain any trade talk from teams that called on him. When it comes to the draft, Kool-Aid McKinstry has the ideal size for the position and would be a star for years to come for the Raiders.
Seattle, New Orleans, and Pittsburgh continue to look like landing spots for trench players.
Seattle has a big need for an interior defensive lineman, so Illinois’ Jer’Zhan Newton will be on their radar. Meanwhile, New Orleans could add a future Cameron Jordan replacement in Alabama star Dallas Turner. The Steelers have been very happy with rookie OT Broderick Jones, so adding Taliese Fuaga from Oregon State can give them young, bookend tackles for the foreseeable future.
