Ole Miss Rebels QB Jaxson Dart has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. A hot prospect in the upcoming draft class made his decision known with a farewell post on his social media accounts on Friday. As soon as the Rebels fans got to know about his move, they jumped in with warm messages to wish him luck on the grand stage. It is quite significant because Dart happens to be one of the most successful quarterbacks in the history of the program.

Fans Flock in Support of Jaxson Dart After NFL Draft Declaration

The 21-year-old quarterback began his college career at USC, and after one season he transferred to Oxford, Miss., for the remaining years. In the last three campaigns, he broke almost all the QB records to etch his name in the record books. On Friday, fans had an emotional reaction to Dart’s post on X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram.

“Forever a legend! Thank you for all the memories,” said one of the fans.

Everyone else resonated similar messages on X and wished him luck.

In his post, Dart thanked all of his coaches, teammates, family, and friends for their unwavering support. “I really and truly came of age at this great university,” Dart said in his X post.

“All of this being said, we have unfinished business. I CAN’T WAIT to put on that #2 Ole Miss jersey for one last ride with my guys before beginning preparation for the 2025 NFL Draft,” he added. As mentioned, he will participate in the Gator Bowl for one last time in the Ole Miss jersey. The Rebels will play the Duke Blue Devils on Jan. 2, 2025.

    Dart’s 2025 NFL Draft Projection

Over the last three years, Dart threw for 10,213 yards and 68 touchdowns. He broke legendary QB Eli Manning’s long-standing program record of 10,119 passing yards. His best campaign came in 2024, where he recorded 3,875 yards and 25 touchdowns to wrap up the regular season 9-3.

In Ian Cummings’ preseason scouting report on Dart, he noted: “If his last name wasn’t evidence enough, Dart was born to be a quarterback. As a senior at Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah, he broke the state record for passing touchdowns in a season with 67 and also threw for 4,691 yards — winning the Gatorade Player of the Year award at a national level.

Across the board, Dart was a four-star recruit and a top-100 talent, and he has some fringe five-star recognition from various outlets.”

In Pro Football Network’s latest seven-round mock draft, Jacob Infante had Dart landing with the Carolina Panthers as a fifth-round pick, highlighting his potential interest in the middle rounds of April’s draft.
