The 2024 NFL Draft is almost here, and preparations are beginning for the festival of football to begin. Two hundred fifty-seven draft prospects will be selected in the showpiece event, realizing their dream of playing in the NFL.
However, the event is also anticipated and enjoyed by fans. Here is everything you need to know about the 2024 NFL Draft, including how to watch the event and its location.
How To Watch This Year’s NFL Draft
The 2024 NFL Draft will be broadcast on NFL Network, ESPN, ABC, and ESPN Deportes. You can steam the draft on NFL+, FUBO, Sling, Hulu, and ESPN Plus.
If you’re not by a screen, you can also listen to the 2024 NFL Draft on the radio by tuning into SiriusXM, Westwood One Sports, or ESPN Radio.
How Many Days Is the NFL Draft?
The NFL Draft is set over three days, with the event starting on Thursday, April 25, and ending on Saturday, April 27. Round 1 is the headline of the showpiece event and begins on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET, where the first 32 draft picks will be selected.
The draft is scheduled for prime time on Thursday and Friday nights, with Day 3 running through Saturday afternoon.
Day 2 will begin at the slightly earlier time of 7 p.m. ET, with Rounds 2 and 3 taking place on Friday evening. Picks 33-100 will be selected on Friday, April 26.
The third day is the longest day of the draft and starts at noon on Saturday, April 27. Rounds 4-7 are completed that day before undrafted free agents are picked up after the draft’s conclusion.

- Day 2 – Rounds 2-3: Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m. ET

Where Is the NFL Draft this Year?
The 2024 NFL Draft is being hosted in Detroit, Michigan, and will be held in the downtown area. The stage and set will be based in the Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza area of the Motor City.
Visit Detroit shows that Hart Plaza will house the NFL Draft Experience, where there will be activities, games, and exhibits for fans to participate in.
The event is free for fans to attend, and the public is invited to the 2024 NFL Draft Experience, where they can watch the draft, as well as see the Vince Lombardi Trophy, meet NFL players, use the Play 60 zone, and visit the NFL Shop.
Top Prospects To Watch in This Year’s Event
USC QB Caleb Williams is hotly tipped to be the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft to the Chicago Bears, with several other quarterbacks expected to have their names called early. North Carolina’s Drake Maye, LSU’s Jayden Daniels, and Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy are all expected to be top-10 selections.
Oregon’s Bo Nix and Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. could also be picked on Day 1.
The 2024 NFL Draft is also deep at wide receiver and offensive tackle. Top wideouts Marvin Harrison Jr. from Ohio State, Malik Nabers from LSU, and Rome Odunze from Washington headline the wideout class, and all three are expected to be picked in the top 10.
Tight End Brock Bowers from Georgia is one of the top prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft and is also expected to hear his name called early.
Joe Alt, Olu Fashanu, and Taliese Fuaga are expected to be the top tackles drafted, with JC Latham from Alabama, Amarius Mims from Georgia, and Troy Fautanu from Washington also expected to hear their names called in Round 1.
On the defensive side of the ball, there are several cornerbacks expected to go early in the 2024 NFL Draft. Alabama’s Terrion Arnold, Toledo’s Quinyon Mitchell, Iowa’s Cooper DeJean, and Alabama’s Kool-Aid McKinstry are anticipated to be first-round selections.
On the defensive line, edge rushers Jared Verse from Florida State, Dallas Turner from Alabama, and Laiatu Latu from UCLA should be selected in the first round. Meanwhile, Texas’ Byron Murphy II and Illinois’ Johnny Newton could be first-round defensive tackles selected.
