According to Pauline, teams currently have six wide receivers with first-round draft grades. These include Ja’Marr Chase, DeVonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle, Rashod Bateman, Kadarius Toney, and Day 1 sleeper Elijah Moore.
The third pick comes rife with speculation. While it seems almost certain the San Fransico 49ers select a quarterback, the question becomes who head coach Kyle Shanahan will draft. Both Alabama’s Mac Jones and North Dakota State’s Trey Lance have had “smoke” circling them in terms of rumors.
With Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson looking to be locks for the first and second 2021 NFL Draft picks, San Francisco gets its choice of what’s left. While Lance and Jones have received the most buzz, don’t overlook the dark horse selection Justin Fields.
