A few more underclassmen who could make the jump to the 2020 NFL Draft

As the weeks go on, the PFN Live Blog is going to be filled with underclassmen declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft. We’ve already had a lot of great information from our insider Tony Pauline on several who are leaning that way. This week, we learned of two more who may declare, both coming to us from Temple.

Last week Pauline reported that Temple cornerback Harrison Hand was leaning towards declaring for the NFL Draft and has since received a confirmation on that front. Now it appears he’ll be joined by teammate Ifeanyi Maijeh. Here’s Tony’s latest update:

Now I’m hearing Hand’s teammate, defensive tackle Ifeanyi Maijeh is also considering making the jump.  The redshirt sophomore, who played in eight games a year ago, has 35 tackles, 9.5 TFL’s and 6 sacks this season.  He’s a prototypical three-technique tackle for the next level.

While I think it’s likely Hand enters the draft at this point I think Maijeh is probing to see what information comes back.

While those two underclassmen appear ready to make the leap to the next level, it appears that at least one talented prospect may be deciding to go back to school. Wake Forest wide receiver Sage Surratt has burst onto a lot of scout’s radars this season but may wait until 2021. Here’s what Tony has been hearing:

The feeling at this point from numerous people I’ve spoken with is Surratt, a redshirt sophomore, is very likely to return for another season on the college field with Wake Forest.
