It’s time for the first NFL coverage map of the 2024 NFL season, with Week 1 upon us. CBS and FOX have a late-afternoon doubleheader, and there are plenty of early-afternoon games to quench every fan’s thirst for football action. Let’s take a look at what games are available where.
NFL Coverage Map for Week 1
The people at 506 Sports do an excellent job providing each week’s NFL coverage map. They color-code the maps based on where each game will be broadcast across the major networks, and these maps are subject to change during the week.
CBS Early-Game NFL TV Coverage Map
- Teal: Arizona Cardinals at Buffalo Bills
Tom McCarthy, Jay Feely, Ross Tucker, Tiffany Blackmon
Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season starts in Orchard Park as the Bills host the Cardinals. The Bills have a new look on offense with a revamped wide receiver room. Josh Allen and James Cook still highlight the backfield, but how will the passing attack do? Arizona hopes to have a better season with a healthy Kyler Murray but faces a strong opening test against the Bills.
- Blue: New England Patriots at Cincinnati Bengals
Ian Eagle, Charles Davis, Evan Washburn
The Patriots start a new era under new head coach Jerod Mayo. While fans will have to wait to see third-round pick quarterback Drake Maye, starting veteran Jacoby Brissett with the roster in its current state is the right move. As for Cincinnati, the coaching staff breathes a sigh of relief heading into Week 1 with a healthy Burrow, but will the front office get an extension done with WR Ja’Marr Chase before he misses too much practice time?
- Yellow: Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts
Andrew Catalon, Tiki Barber, Jason McCourty, AJ Ross
The first divisional matchup of the day sees the Texans and Colts meet at Lucas Oil Stadium in an AFC South showdown. Texans HC DeMeco Ryans and QB C.J. Stroud hope to continue the hot start of their rookie campaign in 2023. However, the Colts are looking for redemption with QB Anthony Richardson, who is healthy and ready to pick up where he left off after a shoulder injury shortened his rookie year.
- Green: Jacksonville Jaguars at Miami Dolphins
Kevin Harlan, Trent Green, Melanie Collins
The final game in CBS’s early window features a battle for the Sunshine State as the Jaguars and Dolphins go head-to-head at Hard Rock Stadium. Both franchises hope to get off to a hot start after disappointing finishes to the 2023 season.

While Miami limped into the playoffs and endured a first-round exit, Jacksonville missed the postseason entirely after losing five of its last six games. It’s only Week 1, but a win would be massive for both squads.
CBS Late-Game NFL TV Coverage Map
- Red: Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers
Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, Tracy Wolfson
The second divisional game of the day features an AFC West tilt between the Raiders and Chargers at SoFi Stadium. Both rivals have new faces at head coach this season. Antonio Pierce sheds the interim tag after taking over for Josh McDaniels. Meanwhile, the Chargers finally parted ways with Brandon Staley and brought Jim Harbaugh back to the NFL. Which coach will get the early win for their team?
- Brown: Denver Broncos at Seattle Seahawks
Spero Dedes, Adam Archuleta, Aditi Kinkhabwala
The final matchup on CBS today features the Seahawks hosting the Broncos at Lumen Field. Rookie QB Bo Nix gets his first start after impressing in the preseason. While the competition wasn’t stiff, beating out two multi-year players is substantial. He’ll try to take down a Seahawks team ready to return to the success from 2022. Injuries derailed a few games last season, but, for the most part, Seattle is healthy and ready to go.
FOX Early-Game NFL TV Coverage Map
- Red: Pittsburgh Steelers at Atlanta Falcons
Joe Davis, Greg Olsen, Pam Oliver
FOX’s early-game coverage starts with the Steelers taking on the Falcons in Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Steelers have a new face under center after signing Russell Wilson in the offseason. The veteran looked alright in limited preseason action and must pick it up with Justin Fields on his tail. The Falcons also have a new signal-caller, signing Kirk Cousins. Will Cousins be able to unlock Atlanta’s vast pool of offensive weapons?
- Green: Tennessee Titans at Chicago Bears
Adam Amin, Mark Sanchez, Kristina Pink
Tennessee gets the 2024 NFL season started with a trip to Soldier Field to face off against the Bears. After playing the latter half of 2023, it’s Will Levis’ time to shine in Tennessee with an offseason dedicated to surrounding him with ample weapons. The Bears also saw a substantial makeover this offseason, drafting QB Caleb Williams first and WR Rome Odunze ninth overall. How will the young QBs look in their Week 1 battle?
- Yellow: Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints
Chris Myers, Mark Schlereth, Jennifer Hale
The only divisional matchup on FOX’s Week 1 coverage features an NFC South clash between the Panthers and Saints in the Caesars Superdome. Dave Canales takes over as Carolina’s third head coach in as many years.

How will QB Bryce Young respond after a difficult rookie season and so many subsequent changes? As for New Orleans, HC Dennis Allen and QB Derek Carr are playing for their futures. A win in Week 1 is paramount.
- Blue: Minnesota Vikings at New York Giants
Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma, Megan Olivi
The final game in FOX’s early-window coverage features the Vikings and Giants facing off in MetLife Stadium. The Vikings got some brutal news in the preseason after a torn meniscus stopped QB J.J. McCarthy’s rookie season before it started. With Sam Darnold under center, it will be intriguing to see how Minnesota performs. The Giants are running it back with Daniel Jones, but will skipping on a QB in the 2024 NFL Draft come back to haunt them?
Fox Late-Game NFL TV Coverage Map
- Red: Dallas Cowboys at Cleveland Browns
Kevin Burkhardt, Tom Brady, Erin Andrews, Tom Rinaldi
The Cowboys face off against the Browns to get FOX’s late-afternoon window started. The Cowboys did very little in the offseason, aside from reuniting with former RB Ezekiel Elliott, among other running backs, to replace Tony Pollard. While the passing game should be fine, replacing Pollard’s production won’t be as easy. As for the Browns, the franchise hopes QB Deshaun Watson will play more than six games this season.
- Blue: Washington Commanders at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Kevin Kugler, Daryl Johnston, Laura Okmin
The final matchup of FOX’s coverage sees the Commanders heading to Raymond James Stadium to take on the Buccaneers. This game features another new head coach-quarterback tandem, as Dan Quinn takes over for Ron Rivera in Washington and the franchise selected quarterback Jayden Daniels second overall in April as the intended Day 1 starter. The Buccaneers roll with Baker Mayfield under center for the second season. Can he get them another NFC South title?
NFL Week 1 National TV Broadcasts
Thursday Night
Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs (NBC)
The reigning Super Bowl champions, the Chiefs, will host the Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium to kick off the 2024 regular season. Baltimore chose to sit QB Lamar Jackson all preseason. Will he have any rust against the AFC’s best? Hopefully, RB Derrick Henry can ease some of the pressure. The Chiefs gave Patrick Mahomes plenty to play with this offseason. Let’s see if the added weapons lead to another incredible season from the two-time MVP.
Friday Night
Green Bay Packers at Philadelphia Eagles (Peacock)
The first-ever game in South America kicks off in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with the Packers and Eagles facing off. Green Bay is ready to challenge the Lions in the NFC North as quarterback Jordan Love builds on an impressive season last year. Meanwhile, head coach Nick Sirianni tries to get the Eagles out to another hot start after flaming out towards the end of the season. No matter who comes out on top, it will be a big and likely important win for seeding down the line.
Sunday Night
Los Angeles Rams at Detroit Lions (NBC)
Sunday’s action finishes with a Sunday Night Football matchup between the Rams and the Lions. Both teams were knocked out of the NFC playoffs last season and hope to return to the postseason in 2024. Most of the Rams’ offensive stars are good to go, but there are still some health concerns on the unit as a whole heading into Week 1. The Lions, though, are good to go and read to roll in search of a Week 1 win.
Monday Night
New York Jets at San Francisco 49ers (ESPN, ABC)
The Jets and 49ers will play each other in Levi’s Stadium in the final matchup of Week 1 of the 2024 season. QB Aaron Rodgers is healthy and ready to lead the Jets to what the franchise hopes will be a lengthy postseason run. Health will be paramount for New York, which has quite an extensive injury history on the roster. The 49ers are ready for another successful season under Kyle Shanahan, but is QB Brock Purdy enough to win San Francisco a Super Bowl?
