The NFL coverage maps have been released for Week 6. The NFL schedule favors prime-time matchups this week, but there’s a great game on CBS in the afternoon window. FOX has just a single game on TV, and there are no international games to wake up early for this Sunday.
NFL Coverage Map for Week 6
The folks at 506 Sports provide this week’s NFL TV and coverage map. The color codes and what games they correspond to are listed below. Listings include FOX, CBS, NFL Network, and prime-time games on Amazon Prime, NBC, and ESPN. These maps are subject to change throughout the week.
CBS Early-Game NFL TV Coverage Map
Red: Baltimore Ravens @ New York Giants
Ian Eagle and Charles Davis
There’s not a lot of excitement on the schedule in the early window on CBS this Sunday, but if we’re looking at records, the Ravens vs. Giants matchup makes sense to show. Are the Giants for real? This’ll be one of their toughest tests thus far.
Blue: New England Patriots @ Cleveland Browns
Kevin Harlan and Trent Green
The Patriots may get media recognition because they won with rookie QB Bailey Zappe last week, but it’s their defense that shut out one of the top-scoring offenses in the NFL. As of Wednesday afternoon, the Browns are favored by 2.5 points to win over on the DraftKings Sportsbook.
Green: Cincinnati Bengals @ New Orleans Saints
Greg Gumbel and Adam Archuleta
This week’s NFL coverage map shows that unless you’re close to Cincinnati or in SEC country, you’ll miss this week’s Bengals vs. Saints matchup.
Yellow: Jacksonville Jaguars @ Indianapolis Colts
Andrew Catalon and James Lofton
The AFC South is a big question mark at this point in the season. The Jaguars would be at the top of the division had they not dropped one to the winless Texans last week. Meanwhile, Indianapolis has an identity crisis and trying to determine if they’re colts or fillies.
CBS Late-Game NFL TV Coverage Map
Red: Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs
Jim Nantz and Tony Romo
Your game of the week, folks. The result of this contest will have playoff seeding implications (including home-field advantage), and we all know the Bills don’t want to make another trip to Kansas City in January again.
Order yourself some BBQ or wings and let DoorDash deliver it so you don’t need to leave the couch. There’s no TV map to give you since this is the lone CBS afternoon game on Sunday, and they have the doubleheader this week. Kickoff is at 4:25 ET.
FOX Single-Game NFL TV Coverage Map
Blue: New York Jets @ Green Bay Packers
Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen
A majority of the country will watch the Jets take on the Packers at Lambeau on FOX in the early window. It’s not an exciting matchup, but both teams are fighting to keep pace in their respective divisions.
Red: Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Joe Davis (or Brandon Gaudin) and Daryl Johnston
After years of watching the Steelers be one of the most consistent franchises in sports, it’s odd seeing them struggle in 2022. An upset win over Tom Brady and the Buccaneers this Sunday would go a long way in building confidence for rookie QB Kenny Pickett.
Yellow: San Francisco 49ers @ Atlanta Falcons
Adam Amin (or Chris Myers) and Mark Schlereth
The 49ers’ defense is elite. This should be an easy matchup against a Falcons offense that refuses to utilize their best weapon in Kyle Pitts. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET.
Brown: Minnesota Vikings @ Miami Dolphins
Kenny Albert and Jonathan Vilma
I think we’re all trying to figure out what kind of team the Vikings are this season. Really all that matters for their offense, however, is they have Justin Jefferson. And he should have an easy time finding open space against a struggling Dolphins secondary. Minnesota is currently 4.5-point favorites over on the FanDuel Sportsbook.
Green: Carolina Panthers @ Los Angeles Rams (Late)
Kevin Kugler and Mark Sanchez
Both the Panthers and Rams are struggling each week to find consistency on offense. Someone’ll have to score points at SoFi Stadium this Sunday. If you find yourself in the green on the coverage map above, we’re sorry, but you won’t get to watch the Bills take on the Chiefs in Sunday’s late window.
Teal: Arizona Cardinals @ Seattle Seahawks (Late)
Chris Myers (or Noah Eagle) and Robert Smith
Again, we’re sorry you’ll miss out on the game of the week if you find yourself in teal. While it’s great to see Geno Smith playing great ball, this is a matchup for who will not finish last in the NFC West.
National TV Broadcasts for Week 6
Thursday Night Football
Washington Commanders @ Chicago Bears (Amazon Prime)
Don’t worry, everyone, there are a couple college football games on Thursday night you can watch this week, including Baylor @ West Virginia and Temple @ UCF.
Sunday Night Football
Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles (NBC)
Props to the Cowboys for finding ways to win with Cooper Rush at quarterback. They have a tough defense this year, but they get their biggest test so far against a high-flying Eagles offense.
Monday Night Football
Denver Broncos @ Los Angeles Chargers (ESPN)
The Broncos have scored the second-fewest points in the NFL this season, while the Chargers have given up the third-most points. Something has got to give, and we hope for entertainment’s sake the Broncos’ offense shows up.
