With the NFL Coverage Map from 506 Sports, you can find out where, how, and when to watch the different NFL games in Week 1.

We have our first NFL coverage map of the 2023 NFL season as we head into Week 1. As is tradition, both CBS and FOX will have a doubleheader this week with the NFL returning to our screens. A brand new season brings the same excitement and uncertainty we always experience with the NFL.

NFL Coverage Map for Week 1

The good people at 506 Sports do a fantastic job of providing us with the NFL coverage map for each week. They color-code their maps based on where each game will be broadcast across the major networks. These maps are subject to change during the week.

Red: Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns
    Ian Eagle and Charles Davis

Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season begins with a battle for Ohio between the Bengals and Browns. The Bengals will be desperate to start their bid for another Super Bowl appearance with a strong performance, while the Browns will be looking to bounce back from last year. Joe Burrow’s health is the big question mark entering this game.

Blue: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Minnesota Vikings
Andrew Catalon, Tiki Barber, and Matt Ryan

A couple of years ago, this game would have been one that could have had major NFC playoff seeding ramifications. However, in 2023, the Vikings have to be looking at this as a must-win game against a Buccaneers team in a post-Tom Brady rebuilding phase.

Green: Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens
    Spero Dedes and Adam Archuleta

This game between the Ravens and Texans could easily prove to be another mismatch. Houston is on its third head coach in three seasons but will be hoping to provide a major upset in Baltimore. The Ravens cannot afford to drop a game in Houston if they want to win the AFC North this season.

Yellow: Tennessee Titans at New Orleans Saints
Chris Lewis, Jason McCourty, and Ross Tucker

This game is arguably one of the most intriguing on Sunday’s entire slate. The Titans appear to be a fading force but always fight hard under the leadership of Mike Vrabel. Meanwhile, the Saints are looking to bounce back with Derek Carr under center. This game could tell us a lot about the potential future of these teams in 2023.

Red: Philadelphia Eagles at New England Patriots
    Jim Nantz and Tony Romo

The Philadelphia Eagles will be looking for a strong start as they attempt to avoid the dreaded “Super Bowl hangover.” The Patriots are in a rebuilding phase, but can Brady’s presence inspire them to an upset in Week 1?

MORE: Week 1 NFL Power Rankings 2023

Brady being honored at Gillette Stadium is likely a big part of the reason why this game is commanding as much of the late-afternoon CBS coverage map as it does.

Blue: Miami Dolphins at Los Angeles Chargers
    Kevin Harlan and Trent Green

This game very well may end up being the most entertaining on the entire slate. Both the Dolphins and Chargers must believe they’re in their window to strike with their young QBs entering the prime of their careers.

The potential quality of this game should mean it commands more of the CBS late coverage map than it does, but you know… Tom Brady.

Green: Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos
Tom McCarthy, James Lofton, and Jay Feely

An early marker in the AFC West will take place in Denver. Most likely, this game will give us some sort of indication of who might be competing with the Chargers for second place in the division.

Red: San Francisco 49ers at Pittsburgh Steelers
    Joe Davis and Daryl Johnston

Two second-year quarterbacks look set to square off in this battle in the Steel City. Based on last year’s record, this game should be a formality, but games involving young QBs are rarely as simple as they seem.

The 49ers will be pleased that they get an East Coast trip out of the way in Week 1 when they have the time to prepare in a better way than a mid-season game would allow.

Blue: Arizona Cardinals at Washington Commanders
    Adam Amin and Mark Schlereth

This game is one that I cannot imagine is very high on many people’s viewing lists. The Cardinals will be without Kyler Murray, while the Commanders are turning over the reigns to second-year QB Sam Howell.

Green: Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts
    Kenny Albert and Jonathan Vilma

In the eyes of many, this game should be a formality. The Jaguars are a team on the rise, while the Colts are starting their rebuild with rookie QB Anthony Richardson. Richardson’s presence may make this game more entertaining to watch than the betting odds or final scoreline would suggest.

Yellow: Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons
    Chris Myers and Robert Smith

The NFC South is a massive unknown entering 2023. Any of the four teams could be the division winner, but it would not be a major surprise if said winner ends up with a losing record… again. Every game within the division is going to be crucial for whoever wants to make the playoffs, and this one is no different.

Red: Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears
    Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen

An intriguing game in the race for the NFC North awaits between the Packers and Bears. The winner of this matchup will give themselves an early leg up in trying to compete with the Lions and Vikings for the division crown.

Blue: Los Angeles Rams @ Seattle Seahawks
    Kevin Kugler and Mark Sanchez

The NFC West has a clear favorite in terms of a potential winner and last-placed team. However, the two in the middle are the Rams and Seahawks, who will both be hoping to kickstart their campaign as they look to dethrone the 49ers atop the division.

NFL Week 1 National TV Broadcasts

    Thursday Night
Detroit Lions at Kansas City Chiefs (NBC)

The 2023 NFL season opens with an intriguing battle between the Chiefs and Lions at Arrowhead. The Lions are one of the darling teams for 2023, but can they withstand the pressure cooker that is a game on the road against the defending champions?

    Sunday Night
Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants (NBC)

The NFC East looks set to be a three-way battle this season, and two of them will face off on Sunday Night Football. Which of the Cowboys and Giants can land an early blow to the other’s division hopes?

    Monday Night
Buffalo Bills at New York Jets (ESPN)

The AFC East is another division that many expect to be a three-way battle. Much like Sunday night, Monday Night Football will be a divisional battle that could land an early blow for either the Jets or Bills.
