In a recent video uploaded to YouTube, Colorado Buffaloes star quarterback and NFL prospect Shedeur Sanders took a moment to reflect on his journey at the University of Colorado Boulder. Sanders explained the difficult loss to the BYU Cougars and outlined how he believed that the team game-planned correctly but did not start in the right way.
Sanders is also reflecting on his time in college football as it is widely expected that he will be selected in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft. While it is not yet known where he will be taken, many analysts and mock drafts project him as one of the top quarterbacks and top players overall being taken.
What Did Shedeur Sanders Say in His YouTube Video?
Sanders explained how despite the strong plan heading into the game, things quickly changed when he was hit early on by a defender, something that he admitted took some time to get over and feel like himself again afterwards.
“Even the last loss isn’t really a regret because you know we prepared the right way. We just ain’t come. We just ain’t come ready to play early on. I got dazed in like one of the beginning hits and like since then it took me a minute to get back, you know to being me,” Sanders stated.
Sanders 2025 NFL Draft Projection
Sanders is expected to be selected quite high in next April’s draft, something reflected in numerous mock drafts. In Pro Football Network’s recent 2025 NFL Mock Draft completed by Owain Jones, Sanders was selected No. 1 overall by the New York Giants.
“The Giants have created a massive quarterback crisis. The worst thing? Most saw it coming. This means that they will have to take a swing at the market this offseason, whether by paying a free agent or using the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
They draft Shedeur Sanders, who has transferable skills and can start as a rookie. The Colorado quarterback has excellent pocket control and impressive throws on the move and also possesses the processing, mechanics, and field vision to have an impact in Year 1.”
While the Giants no longer control their fate with respect to the No. 1 seed after a win last week, there is no doubt the franchise is in the market for a QB and could be a strong fit for the Buffaloes’ QB, given the presence of talented young offensive stars Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Malik Nabers.
