With one week left in the 2023 NFL season, there is a heavy odds-on favorite for almost every award. After a really competitive race for the first 15 weeks of the season, Lamar Jackson has seemingly locked up his second NFL MVP. Meanwhile, Christian McCaffrey has taken a big lead over Tyreek Hill for Offensive Player of the Year.
But who are the betting favorites for the other NFL awards heading into Week 18?

Most Valuable Player
No player has shorter odds to win an award than Jackson does for NFL MVP. He’s currently -10000 at ESPN BET.
If Jackson is named MVP, it will be the seventh consecutive year that the award was given to a quarterback on a No. 1 seeded team, as the Baltimore Ravens clinched a first-round bye with their 56-19 win over the Miami Dolphins last week.
Offensive Player of the Year
Although CeeDee Lamb has had an Offensive Player of the Year-caliber season with 122 receptions and 1,651 receiving yards through 16 games, it’s been a two-man race all season long between Christian McCaffrey and Tyreek Hill.
While Hill is a very deserving candidate, McCaffrey has taken a huge lead over him in recent weeks and is now a heavy -350 favorite to win OPOY.

In his first full season on the San Francisco 49ers, McCaffrey recorded over 2,000 yards from scrimmage and scored 21 touchdowns. Although he’s sitting out this week with a mild calf strain, McCaffrey leads the NFL in rushing yards by more than 300 yards and is tied with Raheem Mostert for the most touchdowns scored by a non-QB this season.
Hill was on pace to break Calvin Johnson’s single-season record for receiving yards until he missed the majority of the Dolphins’ Week 13 matchup against the Tennessee Titans due to injury, which forced him to miss the following week against the New York Jets. If Hill had maintained that pace, this award would be much more competitive entering the final week of the season.
Defensive Player of the Year
Just like OPOY, this award has pretty much been between Myles Garrett and Micah Parsons all season long, as they have been the two best edge rushers in the NFL.
Yet, Garrett (-275) currently has the edge over Parsons (+350). He is statistically having the better season and is the best player on the NFL’s top-ranked defense.
Offensive Rookie of the Year
Even with Puka Nacua being just 29 yards away from breaking the NFL record for most receiving yards by a rookie, C.J. Stroud remains the heavy favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year at -900. This is even despite Stroud missing two games late in the season due to injury.
Although they’re both having historically great rookie seasons, Stroud has the edge over Nacua because he’s helped carry the Houston Texans into the playoff picture after three straight seasons of four wins or less.
Statistically, Stroud has also been very impressive, despite having an underwhelming supporting cast offensively. In 14 games, he’s thrown for 3,844 yards and 21 touchdowns with just five interceptions.
Defensive Rookie of the Year
Jalen Carter has been the betting favorite since Week 2 and is currently -450 to win the award at ESPN BET, with Will Anderson Jr. having the second-shortest odds at +320.
Before he missed two games in a row due to injury, Devon Witherspoon was also in the mix, but his odds have since increased to +6600.

Although the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense has been a major disappointment this season, Carter has certainly been a bright spot. His six sacks are the third most on the team despite playing less than half of the snaps.
If he wins the award, Carter will be the first defensive tackle to be named DPOY since Aaron Donald in 2014.
Coach of the Year
While Dan Campbell was the betting favorite to win Coach of the Year for the majority of the season with Mike McDaniel shortly behind him, Kevin Stefanski is now a near-certainty to win the award at -900.
Despite losing Deshaun Watson and Nick Chubb for the season, Stefanski has led the Cleveland Browns to an 11-5 record and a playoff berth in a competitive AFC. What’s even more impressive is that they have had four different starting quarterbacks win games this season, which is the first for any team with at least 10 wins in NFL history.
Comeback Player of the Year
Given Damar Hamlin’s incredible comeback story after suffering cardiac arrest, the assumption was that he would win Comeback Player of the Year once he made his official return to the field this season.
While he’s still the betting favorite at -130, Joe Flacco’s play since becoming the Browns’ starting QB in Week 13 has made this the most competitive award entering Week 18. He is now shortly behind Hamlin at +100.
Since joining the Browns, Flacco has far exceeded everyone’s expectations, leading Cleveland to a 4-1 record in five starts, including a four-game winning streak and a playoff berth. During this stretch, Flacco has thrown for 300+ yards in four straight games and 13 passing touchdowns — which he hasn’t done in a single season since 2017.
