NFL Announcers for Wild Card Weekend: Game Assignments This Week

Where will each group of NFL announcers be headed for the opening weekend of the playoffs? Let's look at who will be calling games on NBC, Peacock, and more.

We have reached the postseason, and Super Wild Card Weekend is filled with great matchups. With six games spread over three days and five networks, you will get the main crews for almost every game.

The one major change this season is that a game will exclusively air on Peacock, a streaming service from NBCUniversal. The Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs game was selected to be on Peacock; the game will be available on NBC stations in Kansas City and Miami.

    NBC/Peacock Announcers

NBC and Peacock will broadcast three of the six games this weekend. Noah Eagle, Todd Blackledge, and Kathryn Tappen will have the first game on NBC between the Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans. This trio called a game in Week 16 along with being NBC’s main crew for Big Ten games.

This game will kick off on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

The second game on Saturday will be the Dolphins going on the road to play the Chiefs. The game will only be available on Peacock, the first NFL playoff game to be exclusively available on a streaming service.

Mike Tirico, Jason Garrett, and Kaylee Hartung will be on the call. Garrett called the Sunday night game after Thanksgiving with Tirico when Cris Collinsworth was off. Hartung has been the Amazon Prime sideline reporter for the last two seasons.

This game will kick off on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on Peacock.

Tirico will head to Detroit to team up with the normal Sunday Night Football crew. Collinsworth will join him in the booth, and Melissa Stark will be reporting from the sidelines. They will call the Los Angeles Rams and the Detroit Lions.

This game will kick off on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. This is earlier than the normal Sunday night kickoff time.

    CBS Announcers

Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, and Tracy Wolfson begin the first of four playoff weekends with the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Buffalo Bills. This crew will be on the call for Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. Jay Feely has been added to the crew as a second sideline reporter.

    FOX Announcers

FOX’s lead group of Kevin Burkhardt, Greg Olsen, Erin Andrews, and Tom Rinaldi will announce the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys. This group was on the call for last season’s Super Bowl.

The game will kick off on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. ET on FOX.

    ESPN Announcers

Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, and Lisa Salters will be in Florida to broadcast the Philadelphia Eagles at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Laura Rutledge has been added to the crew as a second sideline reporter. This is usually the final game of the ESPN season, but this year, the network will broadcast a Divisional Round game.

Peyton and Eli Manning are back for another edition of ManningCast, an alternate broadcast on ESPN2. They know what it takes to win in the playoffs, with each winning two Super Bowls.

The game will kick off on Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN and ABC, with the Mannings on ESPN2. Kickoff is scheduled 15 minutes earlier than the normal Monday time.
