NFL Announcers for Divisional Round Weekend: Game Assignments This Week

    Published on

Where will each group of NFL announcers be headed for the Divisional Round of the playoffs? Let's look at who will be calling games on ESPN, FOX, NBC, and CBS.

We have reached the NFL Divisional Round and have four games spread over four networks this weekend. The start times are a little different on Sunday, with games kicking off at 3 p.m. ET and 6:30 p.m. ET.

Just like with teams in the playoffs, broadcast crews start to have their final games of the season. ESPN and NBC lead broadcast teams will have their final contests this weekend. CBS and FOX will broadcast the Conference Championship Games next Sunday.

    ESPN Announcers

As part of the deal ESPN signed with the NFL in 2021, the network will annually broadcast a Divisional Round game starting this season. ESPN’s first-ever second-weekend game will be the Houston Texans at the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday

Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are in the booth, with rules analyst John Parry to announce, along with Lisa Salters and Laura Rutledge, who was added to the crew for the postseason, reporting from the sidelines.

There is no ManningCast this week, but Peyton and Eli Manning will be back for a fourth season in the fall.

The game will kick off on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET on ESPN and ABC.

    FOX Announcers

FOX’s lead group of Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen in the booth will announce the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers. Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi are reporting from the sidelines, and Dean Blandino is the rules analyst.

This group called Green Bay’s win over the Dallas Cowboys in an NFC Wild Card battle last weekend. This is the crew that will call the NFC Championship game.

The game will kick off on Saturday at 8:15 p.m. ET on FOX.

    NBC Announcers

Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth are back in Detroit for the second straight week to call the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions. Melissa Stark and Kaylee Hartung will be reporting on the sidelines, and Terry McAulay is the rules analyst. Last weekend, Tirico announced the Dolphins-Chiefs on Peacock and the Rams-Lions on NBC.

The game will kick off on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC

    CBS Announcers

Jim Nantz and Tony Romo will be back in Buffalo this weekend to call the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. Sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson, rules analyst Gene Steratore, and kicking analyst Jay Feely round out the crew that will announce the AFC Championship Game and Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.

The game will kick off on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
