Shedeur Sanders has been a cut above most other draft prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft. He’s clearly solidified himself as one of the two best quarterbacks, at a minimum, and is widely expected to be a top-10 pick.
However, for some, even those projections are a touch too low. According to one senior NFL analyst, his value is incomparable, and he should be the clear-cut favorite to be the top pick for any team in need of a quarterback.

Shedeur Sanders Is a Clear-Cut Favorite for Skip Bayless
As much credit as Deion Sanders got, and rightfully so, for reviving the Colorado Buffaloes football program, his son deserves an equal amount of love. Despite a terrible offensive line protecting him, he was consistently an accurate passer.
While that did lead to the occasional mistake, he still finished with 37 touchdowns against just 10 interceptions and a 74% completion percentage as he tallied 4,134 passing yards in his final collegiate year.
And that level of productivity was enough to convince former controversial Fox Sports analyst Skip Bayless of his talent. Taking to X, Bayless was in typical shouting form as he sang praises of the youngster.
“Lots of veteran NFL evaluators won’t love how confidently outspoken Shedeur is, how much jewelry he wears, that his dad is Neon Deion. BUT IF THEY NEED A QB AND THEY PASS ON SHEDEUR, THEY WILL FOREVER REGRET IT. HE’S SO DEADLY ACCURATE, SO SMART, SO MENTALLY/PHYSICALLY TOUGH.”

Bayless hasn’t been the only one to sing praises of the youngster, though. At the NFL Combine, reputed NFL analyst Ian Rapoport couldn’t stop gushing about the youngster and his mental fortitude. Drawing special attention to his maturity and cadence, Rapoport was thoroughly impressed with the Colorado recruit.
The latest mock draft from PFSN, too, is also highly complimentary to Sanders. With the Las Vegas Raiders trading up five spots with the Tennessee Titans, they have Sanders going first overall to join a new front office and head coach in Vegas.
Under the expert tutelage of new owner Tom Brady and a Super Bowl-winning head coach Pete Carroll, the addition of Sanders could be a quick way for the team to find its footing.
And it would certainly acquiesce the demands of Bayless as he sees his draft favorite go with the first pick itself. Let’s just hope it turns out to be a Stephen Curry kind of prediction instead of a Johnny Manziel from the 73-year-old analyst.
