‘They Are Doing As Much Research They Possibly Can’ – NFL Analyst Reveals Shedeur Sanders Spent Significant Time With Top Teams

Shedeur Sanders reportedly had several interactions with teams atop the NFL Draft at the East-West Shrine Bowl as he looks to boost his stock.

Shedeur Sanders was one of the leading prospects present at the East-West Shrine Bowl game on Thursday. Although he didn’t play in the game or practice with his peers, he was available as an interview-only participant, something that he had announced upon his arrival.

He held a brief session with the media and also spent a significant amount of time with several teams picking atop the 2025 NFL Draft. His maturity and poise were the highlights of these interactions, according to reporters attending the event.

Shedeur Sanders Had a Brief Interaction With Top Teams

The Colorado Buffaloes quarterback is considered one of the top prospects in the class and a candidate to be the first passer off the board. As such, quarterback-needy teams have found themselves in contention for Deion Sanders’ son.

Interestingly, each of the teams picking in the top three of the 2025 NFL Draft—the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants—might all be locked in on the same quarterback

Ahead of the draft, coaches, scouts, and front office executives have been interacting and aggressively researching these top prospects. Thus, the Shrine Bowl offered teams the opportunity to get a closer look at some of the class’ most intriguing names.

According to NFL analyst Trevor Sikkema of PFF, Shedeur Sanders spoke with a handful of teams down in Texas.

“He didn’t do anything here during practice, but he was able to meet with all the teams. And specifically, we’ve been told that he met pretty extensively with the teams that are picking up the very top of the draft, the Tennessee Titans, the New York Giants, and the Cleveland Browns,” Sikkema said.

“And so, you know, it’s one of those things where they’re doing as much research as they possibly can, because when you pick a guy in the first round, or if you’re considering doing that, it’s a face of the franchise, right? This is how many were going to stand up at the podium, win or loss, represent your franchise there. And so they spent a lot of time getting to know them.”

Sanders could hear his name first overall should Tennessee want its pick of the litter at quarterback. However, after recent comments that the Titans wouldn’t pass up on a generational talent — perhaps Sanders’ teammate, Travis Hunter — Cleveland and New York might still make him a top pick.

“Even the little media session that we had here with him. He is very confident, understands where he comes from, understands that pressure, and understands being a part of the Sanders family. And so at least he embraced all that the right way, and so he’s certainly meeting with all those teams at the very top,” Sikkema added.

Sanders is competing with Miami quarterback Cam Ward for the right to be the first passer drafted in April. Expect both to meet with several teams, perhaps multiple times, as the draft cycle continues.
