‘It’s an Absolute Insult’ — NFL Analyst Predicts Premature End to Tom Brady’s $375,00,000 Career

    Published on

One NFL analyst labels Tom Brady's job with Fox an insult while predicting the former QB will not be in a broadcaster role next season.

Tom Brady made a triumphant return to the footballing world by taking on the role of a broadcaster earlier this season. The former quarterback is being paid handsomely to do so after signing a $375 million deal for 10 years with Fox.

However, NFL analyst David Samson suggests this will be his first and last season in the booth. Samson aimed at Brady’s dual roles in the NFL world.

David Samson Wants Tom Brady Out of the Booth

Earlier this week it was reported that Brady could be part of a committee to find a new head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders. The 47-year-old became a minority stakeholder this season and was previously thought to be involved in the QB-drafting process only by owner Mark Davis.

The NFL has put several restrictions on Brady for his broadcasting job due to him also being a franchise owner. Samson during his appearance on the “The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz” called it all a sham after the recent reports.

“They leak out that Tom Brady is going to be very involved in the new coach and in the search for the new coach,” Samson said. “Guess what? Tom Brady’s running that team right now, and the NFL knows it, and Fox knows it, and something’s got to give. So, enjoy Tom in the booth because you’re not going to see him there next year.”

Samson’s claims shocked the entire panel on the show and they asked him to elaborate more on his words. If Brady would not be in the booth next year, the host wanted to know where Brady would be.

“He will be in the Raiders front office. He will not return as an analyst for Fox. You cannot be this involved in the operation of a team and be the No. 1 analyst.”

“It is an absolute insult to analysts, what he’s doing, and it’s an insult to team presidents, what he’s doing. You end up doing both of them in a mediocre way,” added Samson.

Which Games Will Brady Be Covering in the Playoffs?

Brady has become Fox’s No. 1 guy, covering the biggest games on their slot week in and week out. As the Wild Card Round gears up, Brady will resume his duties inside the booth as the Green Bay Packers play against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Brady will be joined by Kevin Burkhardt for this high-octane NFC game at the Lincoln Financial Field. As per reports, Brady is also expected to call the Super Bowl from New Orleans. However, if Samson is to be believed, this could be his first and last Super Bowl as a broadcaster.
