New Orleans Saints Injury Report: Latest on Alvin Kamara, Mark Ingram, and Taysom Hill

What is the latest from the New Orleans Saints' injury report, including updates on RB Alvin Kamara, RB Mark Ingram, and QB Taysom Hill?

The New Orleans Saints‘ injury report has been the subject of much attention heading into Week 13. After both Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram missed last week, as well as reports that new starting QB Taysom Hill is struggling with a plantar fascia injury, what is the latest injury news coming out of New Orleans ahead of Thursday Night Football?

New Orleans Saints Injury Report | Latest updates on Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram

Update 12/02/21: NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that the New Orleans Saints will be without their starting running back Alvin Kamara for their matchup Thursday night against the Cowboys.

After the Saints were without both of their lead RBs last week, their first injury report for Week 13 was important to see. Both Kamara and Ingram saw upgrades to their statuses to open the week. The Saints listed Kamara as a limited participant on all three days after being a non-participant last week. He is listed as questionable on the final injury report.

Importantly, Ingram returned as a full participant after struggling in Week 12. He was questionable heading into Thanksgiving but was unable to suit up against the Bills. His full participation Monday puts Ingram on track to return in Week 13 against the Cowboys. He was a full participant Tuesday and Wednesday and will carry no injury designation into Thursday, barring a setback.

Taysom Hill is set to start in Week 13 if he gets through practice

Hill is set to take over as the starting QB on Thursday. However, Hill remains on the Saints’ injury report in Week 13 as a full participant. As it stands, there is no concern that Hill will miss New Orleans’ Week 13 contest. Nevertheless, his status this week is important.

If Hill is unable to take a starting QB workload, Trevor Siemian will retain the job. Hill’s full participation on Monday is a good sign, but how he recovers from each practice could determine his status for Thursday. Hill carries no injury designation into Thursday.

Who else is listed on the Saints’ injury report in Week 13?

Compared to the Cowboys’ Week 13 injury report, the Saints have a number of injuries to be concerned about. On offense, OTs Terron Armstead (knee) and Ryan Ramczyk (knee) are both on the injury report. Armstead was a non-participant Monday, while Ramczyk logged a limited session.

Initially, it was hoped the non-participation of Armstead on Monday was just a precaution, but he was also absent from practice on Tuesday and Wednesday. The progress for Ramcyzk appeared promising after he was a non-participant in all three practices last week. However, he was downgraded to a non-participant on Tuesday and remained so Wednesday. Both are listed as questionable heading into Thursday.

Defensively, the injuries are also piling up. On the defensive line, New Orleans listed both Marcus Davenport (shoulder) and Tanoh Kpassagnon (ankle) as non-participants on both Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Both have been ruled out for Thursday.

At linebacker, Kaden Elliss has been listed as a non-participant with a hamstring injury and has been ruled out. However, there was positive news with Andrew Dowell a full participant despite a concussion. The same was the case with rookie CB Paulson Adebo. He is listed with a concussion, but his full participation is a sign he will be good to go in Week 13.
