The Dallas Cowboys are creating salary cap room, which raises eyebrows for what could be coming soon.
The Cowboys and Neville Gallimore have reworked his contract, according to the Dallas Morning News.
The report states that Gallimore’s 2023 base salary went from $2.7 million to $1.5 million, and he can earn back $750,000.
The Cowboys re-worked the contract of DT Neville Gallimore, per source, creating some cap room. His salary went from $2.7m to $1.5m and he can earn back $750k. Since Gallimore played at least 35% of snaps in 2 of his 3 years, he had earned a proven-performance escalator for ‘23.

This move could open up the salary cap for more possible deals that need to be done at some point.

But that doesn’t mean Jones is out of the woods with needing to get more deals done eventually.
QB Dak Prescott, WR CeeDee Lamb, LB Micah Parsons, and OL Tyler Biadasz need to get deals made with the Cowboys sooner rather than later.
Jones spoke about Prescott on Tuesday, saying, “We expect Dak to be with us a long time.”
