Tyrese Haliburton has enjoyed a stellar NBA career spanning six seasons.
The two-time All-Star was traded to the Indiana Pacers in 2022 and has played some of his best basketball over the last three seasons. This season, he is averaging 18.5 points, 8.9 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game while shooting 46.8% from the field and 39% from beyond the arc.
Throughout his career, Haliburton has earned a significant salary thanks to his versatile offensive skill set and playmaking ability.
How Much Money Has Tyrese Haliburton Earned in His Career?
Throughout his pro career, Haliburton has earned $60,255,395 from his NBA contracts alone. While his exact net worth is not publicly available, it is estimated to be around $5 million.
Selected No. 12 overall by the Sacramento Kings in the 2020 NBA Draft, Haliburton signed a four-year, $17.88 million rookie contract.
During his time with the Kings, he made the NBA All-Rookie First Team following an impressive debut season, averaging 13 points per game in 58 appearances. He improved the following year, posting 14.3 points and 7.4 assists per game in 51 games.
In 2022, Haliburton was traded to the Pacers alongside Buddy Hield and Tristan Thompson for Domantas Sabonis, Jeremy Lamb, Justin Holiday, and a 2023 second-round pick. Sabonis has thrived in Sacramento, establishing himself as one of the most well-rounded bigs in the league.
When the Kings traded Haliburton, he admitted, “I felt like something I cared about was ending way too soon.” However, the former Iowa Hawkeye thrived in Indiana, averaging 17.5 points and 9.6 assists per game for the Pacers for the rest of the season.
Haliburton responded with a career-best 2022-23 season, averaging 20.7 points and 10.4 assists per game, earning his first All-Star selection.
His breakout season led to a five-year, $244.62 million designated rookie contract extension with Indiana in July 2023—the largest deal in Pacers history. This season, Haliburton is earning $42,176,400, making him Indiana’s highest-paid player (tied with Pascal Siakam).
Haliburton secured an additional $40 million when he continued his stellar play the following season, getting named to the 2024 All-NBA third team and earning his second All-Star selection. He led the Pacers to the Eastern Conference Finals while averaging 20.1 points and 10.9 assists per game.
Although Haliburton’s numbers have slightly dipped this season, the Pacers remain in the playoff hunt. They are 36-28 and currently sit in the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference standings.
