Tyler Herro was the Miami Heat’s lone representative during the 2025 NBA All-Star Game. He was on the All-Star team and featured in the NBA’s 3-point shooting contest.
Even though All-Star weekend wasn’t well-received by fans, Herro loved every second of it and made that clear when talking about All-Star weekend at Raising Cane’s in Miami.
Tyler Herro Delves Into ‘Amazing’ All-Star Weekend
Herro could not hold back his glee when talking about his first All-Star appearance. He not only played in the game but also won the 3-point shooting competition.
“All-Star Weekend was amazing. It wasn’t all smooth sailing straight to the top — you have to push to chase your dreams,” Herro told reporters at Raising Cane’s. “I came in day in and day out and stay focused to get to where I am today, and I’ll definitely be back to defend my 3-point title next year.”
Herro also took the time to thank the fanbase for its part while talking about how great All-Star weekend was for him.
“I’m so thankful for the fans and their support,” Herro said. “The All-Star trophy is currently in my daughter’s room. The weekend was all around a great experience.”
Herro Talks About New-Look Heat, Jimmy Butler III’s Exit
The Heat made a few seismic changes before the All-Star break, as they traded Jimmy Butler III to the Golden State Warriors for Andrew Wiggins, among others. Herro talked about the prospect of playing with Wiggins, and how excited he is to play with his new teammates.
“Wigs is an amazing player, and we all know what he does on the basketball court,” Herro said. “I’ve been a big fan of his for a long time, and I’m excited to play with him.”
Despite all the drama that happened with Butler, Herro praised him and the new Heat players.
“I love all my teammates, and I love playing with Jimmy,” Herro said. “We’ve got three new guys who are going to be great teammates, and I’m looking forward to what’s to come.”
Wiggins may not be the player Butler is, but he is an NBA champion and has made an All-Star team, much like Herro.
When he first came into the league in 2019, Herro was quick to establish himself as a hotshot rookie. He then evolved himself into the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year, and now it’s all culminated in him making his first All-Star team. For Herro, knowing how well he’s progressed, this just might be the start for him.
