An unnamed NBA executive recently commented on Bailey and claimed that he has the highest ceiling among the others in his draft. Listed at 6’10, he has already been compared to stars like Kevin Durant. The executive’s statements on Bailey made his potential quite clear.
“He might have the highest ceiling in the draft. I know he’s inconsistent, and there are questions about his playmaking…The shotmaking and creation could be elite. He checks those boxes if he hits the level he could be capable of.”
Due to his height and wingspan, Bailey would already find success in the NBA. However, his elite shotmaking ability has gained the interest of an NBA executive who now thinks he could be the best player from his class, albeit anonymously.
Since hot takes of this nature tend to get called out when things go the other way, fans can certainly understand why this executive did not want to be named. After all, it is quite possible for Flagg or Harper to use this as motivation or naturally evolve into better players when compared to Bailey.
