LeBron James Makes Honest Locker Room Confession About Luka Dončić After Lakers Duo Beat Nuggets in Style

LeBron James went beyond the sport of basketball to discuss his chemistry with Luka Dončić after their most recent game against the Denver Nuggets. Although Dončić struggled to score in his first three games with the Lakers, he had a solid performance in Los Angeles’ blowout win against the Nuggets. After the game had concluded, James was interviewed in the locker room and discussed the feeling of playing alongside Dončić.

LeBron James Claims That Luka Dončić Is the Perfect Quarterback

Before his career in the NBA took off, James also had a significant amount of interest and passion for football and could have also tried to play in the NFL. James used the positions of quarterback and receiver to explain how he and Dončić could be a perfect fit.

“I’m a natural-born wide receiver, and he’s a natural-born quarterback, so it fits perfectly. I’ve been running the floor and running lanes like pretty much my whole life, and he’s been throwing great passes pretty much his whole life. So it’s not hard to get a rhythm when it comes to that.”

James is certainly making a good point. Both his and Dončić’s skill sets could be compared to those of a quarterback and receiver in the NFL. Since fast-break opportunities and turnovers are incredibly common in the NBA, there’s no getting around the fact that Dončić’s quick outlet pass will help James get easy buckets in quick transition.

While it is certainly good to see that Dončić and James have begun developing chemistry, the Lakers still face many issues as a team that they need to resolve. Concerns regarding their defense with the two of them on the court together have already begun to rise.

Although the Lakers have a good record, they’ve suffered unexpected losses to teams like the Charlotte Hornets recently and still need to address their weaknesses before the postseason begins.

However, with the NBA trade deadline long over, it’s highly unlikely that Los Angeles will be able to make any significant moves now. Thus, Lakers fans are left wondering what the combination of Dončić and James can accomplish this season.
