Lakers Star Luka Dončić Has Perfect Reaction to LeBron James Making NBA History With ‘Insane’ 50,000 Points

LeBron James immortalized his name in NBA history once again, and no one was prouder than his new teammate, Luka Dončić. During the Los Angeles Lakers 136-115 win against the New Orleans Pelicans, James’ journey to 50,000 career points was the highlight.

The NBA world was in awe of James, celebrating his major milestone.

Luka Dončić Was in Awe of LeBron James’ 50K Point Milestone

As mentioned, Dončić — a new addition to the Lakers — was incredibly impressed with James’ feat.

“It’s amazing, watching him do this stuff. At this age, it’s just unbelievable,” the young Lakers star said. “50K points, I can’t even explain how insane that is”

Though somewhat joking, Dončić considered a possibility for James to hit an even crazier milestone.

    “He might get to 70K.”

While James’ feat is truly iconic, one cannot overlook his athleticism and ability to play at a high level even at 40. In fact James reportedly spends millions every year to maintain his physicality and momentum.

Head coach JJ Redick didn’t hold back while complimenting James’ level of play before the game.

Redick said, “We wouldn’t be in the position we’re in without him playing at the level he’s been playing at. And that’s offensively and defensively.”

Along with his historic achievement, James finished the game with 34 points, eight rebounds, and six assists while making 10-18 of his field goals and 5-10 from beyond the arc.

After the game, the four-time NBA champion had to address his own 50,000 points. Of course, even James knows the magnitude behind so many points in one single career.

“It’s a hell of a lot of points, and I’m super blessed to be able to put that many points up in the best league in the world with the best players in the world over my career,” James said while speaking to Spectrum SportsNet postgame. “It’s pretty special.”

“I’ve had the opportunity to play the game that I love, and I’ve always been true to it, so I’m going to always try to give back,” James added.

With the NBA regular season in full force, the Lakers fan are hoping James leads them to a possible 18th franchise title. Dončić and James continue to show their worth as a duo, with the former just nine games into his Lakers’ career.

The two continue to make history with each game, indicating that another championship (James’ fifth) is well within reach.

The Lakers will face the New York Knicks on Wednesday, March 5 for their next game.
