Knicks Superfan Ben Stiller Proves His Obsession With Jalen Brunson During Oscars 2025

Ben Stiller is a Hollywood icon, but if there’s one thing he might love just as much as making movies, it’s the New York Knicks. His passion for the team is well-known, with frequent appearances at Madison Square Garden and lively discussions about the Knicks on social media. This fervor was on full display during the 2025 Oscars, where Stiller’s dedication to his team shined as bright as the event’s golden statuettes.

Ben Stiller’s New York Knicks Obsession Knows No Bounds, Even at the Oscars

On March 2, while the glitz and glamour of the 97th Academy Awards unfolded at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the Knicks were battling the Miami Heat at the Kaseya Center. Stiller, attending the Oscars as a presenter, found himself in a classic fan dilemma—Hollywood’s biggest night or his beloved Knicks? Ever the multitasker, Stiller managed to juggle both.

After presenting the Oscar for Best Production Design to Nathan Crowley and Lee Sandales for their work on “Wicked,” Stiller’s thoughts swiftly returned to the hardwood. Moments after leaving the stage, he took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share his elation over the Knicks’ thrilling 116-112 overtime victory against the Heat.

“KNICKS WIN,” he wrote on X, capturing the unfiltered euphoria and the absurdity of the moment. No matter where he is or what he is doing, he is always in the loop with the latest happenings around New York basketball.

The game itself was a thriller. The Knicks pulled off an insane 116-112 overtime win against the Miami Heat. This wasn’t just any win—it was a comeback story straight out of Hollywood. Down by as many as 19 points, the Knicks clawed their way back, led by none other than the two-time NBA All-Star Jalen Brunson, who put up 31 points, including some clutch buckets late in the game.

The “Zoolander” and “Tropic Thunder” star has been a Knicks superfan for decades. He lives for this team—through the good, the bad, and the heartbreaks the New York faithful know all too well.

With this win, the Knicks improved to 40-20, marking their fastest 40-win season since 1996-97. They’re now headed back home to face the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night (March 4). At the moment, they are third in the Eastern Conference, looking comfortable to breeze through the early rounds of the playoffs.

Stiller will undoubtedly support his team, with fingers crossed, when they get there.
