Despite everything that has happened to the Miami Heat this season, DJ Khaled appears to have faith in the team.

The well-known DJ and diehard Heat fan believes the Heat can still compete despite losing Jimmy Butler.

DJ Khaled Wishes Jimmy Butler Luck

During his appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter, Khaled wished Butler the best with the Golden State Warriors while explaining why he hasn’t lost faith in the Heat.

“Well, first of all, shout to Jimmy Butler, man. Nothing but love to Jimmy Butler. God bless him in his new journey. You know, we love him in Miami Heat. And the beautiful thing about Miami Heat is we’re winners. We’re just a winning team. You know, I’m saying, and the key word is team, and our team is always going to overcome any — how can I say — non-believers? And always praise the believers and bring home chips and rings and banners. That’s what we do. It’s Miami,” Khaled said.

The Heat have struggled a bit this year. Terry Rozier has failed to impress and Bam Adebayo has not played at the level that Miami has grown accustomed to. However, Tyler Herro has grown into an All-Star, and the Heat have some promising young talent with Jaime Jaquez and Kel’el Ware.

Miami Still Has Lots of Hope

Khaled may be a Heat fan, but what he says isn’t exactly wrong. Whenever a door has closed for the Heat, a window has opened for them multiple times throughout the 21st century.

When the Shaquille O’Neal era ran its course, it didn’t take long for LeBron James and Chris Bosh to come on over to South Beach and join forces with Dwyane Wade. When James returned to Cleveland and Bosh prematurely retired shortly afterward, Butler joined the Heat only a few years later. Their additions alone led to three titles and seven NBA Finals appearances.

It may not be instantaneous, and these next few years might be rough after the Heat’s latest run with Butler from 2019 to 2025, but they have proven that they always land on their feet. It might be via trade or free agency, but they always get a big fish, and when they do, it pays off big time.

As long as Pat Riley calls the shots from the front office and Erik Spoelstra calls the shots from the sidelines, the Heat have every reason to be optimistic.
